Acer, Cathay Cargo, and Dimerco Express Group are collaborating to reduce carbon emissions in aviation through the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Starting in 2024, Acer and Dimerco will support SAF use on Cathay Cargo flights as part of Acer's net-zero strategy. SAF, made from plant or animal materials, can reduce aviation's greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80%. This initiative is part of Cathay Pacific's Corporate SAF Programme, one of the first of its kind in Asia.

The collaboration aligns with Acer's Earthion sustainability platform and its commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Acer is also investing in smart solutions for carbon reduction, energy savings, and productivity improvements, including e-mobility and energy storage solutions. The company began using biofuel solutions for sea logistics in Q4 2022 and is accelerating its actions towards net-zero carbon emissions.

Acer Inc. (TWSE: 2353) reported strong financial performance for July 2024, with consolidated revenues reaching NT$23.45 billion, marking a 32.3% year-on-year growth. This achievement extends Acer's streak of consecutive YoY growth to 13 months. Year-to-July revenues totaled NT$149.45 billion, up 16.4% YoY. The company's core PC and display business saw significant growth, with revenues increasing 37.6% YoY in July and 18.8% YoY year-to-July.

Acer's diversification strategy continues to yield results, with businesses outside computers and displays contributing 27.0% of total revenues in July and 28.4% year-to-July. Notable performances from subsidiaries include Altos Computing Inc. (AI servers and workstations) with 30.1% YoY growth in July, Acerpure Inc. with 67.5% YoY growth, and Acer ITS Inc. with 42.6% YoY growth.

Acer Inc. (TWSE: 2353) reported strong financial results for Q2 2024, with consolidated revenues of NT$67.14 billion, up 15.2% year-on-year. The company's operating income surged to NT$1.47 billion, marking an impressive 87.9% increase quarter-on-quarter and 40.3% year-on-year, with a 2.2% margin. Net income reached NT$1.40 billion with earnings per share of NT$0.47.

For the first half of 2024, Acer's performance was equally robust. Consolidated revenues hit NT$125.97 billion, up 13.8% year-on-year, while gross profits grew by 15.1% to NT$13.37 billion with a 10.6% margin. Operating income for 1H 2024 increased by 75.1% year-on-year to NT$2.25 billion, and net income rose 36.6% to NT$2.61 billion, resulting in earnings per share of NT$0.87.

Notably, businesses outside of computers and displays contributed significantly, accounting for 28.1% of total revenues and 35.2% of operating income in Q2 2024.

Acer announced June consolidated revenues of NT$28.19 billion, marking a 33.4% month-on-month and 7.1% year-on-year (YoY) growth, achieving 12 consecutive months of YoY growth and the highest revenue in 24 months. Year-to-June revenues reached NT$126.00 billion, reflecting a 13.8% YoY growth. Their personal computers and displays business grew 16.9% in Q2 and 15.8% YoY year-to-June. Non-PC/display businesses contributed 27.6% of June's total revenues and 28.6% year-to-June. Public subsidiaries showed significant growth: Altos Computing Inc.'s revenues surged 163.0% YoY in Q2, Acerpure Inc. grew 32.8% YoY in Q2, and Acer ITS Inc. revenues increased by 8.8% YoY in Q2. Acer also acquired new office space in California, USA, and Taipei City, Taiwan.

Acer announced its consolidated revenues for May 2024 at NT$21.13 billion, showing an 18.4% month-on-month (MoM) growth and a 16.8% year-on-year (YoY) growth. This marks 11 consecutive months of YoY growth for the company. Cumulative revenues from January to May reached NT$97.81 billion, reflecting a 15.9% YoY rise. The personal computers (PC) segment exhibited a significant performance, with revenues increasing by 26.0% YoY in May and 22.6% YoY for the year to date. Non-PC segments contributed 26.5% and 29.0% of total revenues for May and the year-to-May, respectively. Notably, Altos Computing saw a remarkable 256.4% YoY revenue increase in May. Acer ITS and Acerpure also reported strong YoY revenue gains of 58.5% and 22.0%, respectively.

Acer announced that its Swift series laptops will feature the new AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors starting in Q3 2024. These processors, highlighted by their high CPU and GPU cores, ultra-efficient NPUs, and the new Zen 5 architecture, promise unprecedented speed and performance. The processors will offer up to 12 cores, 24 threads, and 50+ TOPS of AI processing capabilities. They also feature 36 MB cache and AMD Radeon 800M graphics. Acer’s COO, Jerry Kao, and AMD's Jack Huynh emphasized the partnership's aim to redefine expectations for AI-enabled PCs, catering to gaming, content creation, and everyday use. These laptops will receive a free Copilot+ PC experience update when available.

Acer announced three new gaming monitors in its Predator lineup: the Predator X27U F3, Predator X32 X3, and Predator X34 X5. These monitors feature OLED displays, high refresh rates, and advanced technologies for seamless gaming experiences. The X27U F3 offers a 26.5-inch WQHD display at 480 Hz, the X32 X3 comes with a 31.5-inch 4K UHD display at 240 Hz, and the X34 X5 boasts a 34-inch UWQHD curved display at 240 Hz. All models support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC, ensuring smooth and tear-free visuals. Pricing starts at USD 1,099.99 for the X34 X5 and goes up to USD 1,199.99 for the X32 X3 and X27U F3, with availability starting in Q3 2024.

Acer has unveiled two new smart monitor series: the DA1 and Nitro GA1. The DA1 series features 4K UHD resolution and comes in 27- and 31.5-inch models. It offers productivity features like wireless projection and Multiview screen splitting.

The Nitro GA1 series, available in the same sizes, targets gamers with WQHD resolution, a 180 Hz refresh rate, and low input lag. Both series come with Google TV, allowing access to popular streaming services, and they support AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC to minimize screen tearing.

The monitors are equipped with HDR10, 250 nits brightness, and can connect wirelessly to other devices. They also feature ergonomic stands and VESA wall-mounting options. Prices start at USD 329.99 for North America and EUR 299 for EMEA, available in Q4 2024.

Acer has introduced two new wireless routers: the Wave 7 mesh router with Wi-Fi 7 and the Predator Connect W6x with Wi-Fi 6.

The Wave 7 offers speeds up to 6400 Mbps and supports Multi-Link Operations (MLO) for low latency. It's ideal for large homes, offering flexible configurations and security features.

The Predator Connect W6x is designed for gamers, featuring a 2 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB of DDR4 RAM, and speeds up to 6000 Mbps. It includes Hybrid Quality of Service (QoS) software for prioritizing network traffic and a utility app available in July.

Both models feature built-in Trend Micro Home Network Security for enhanced privacy and safety. Pricing in North America starts at EUR 119 for the Wave 7 and EUR 129 for the Predator Connect W6x.
