SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR) today announced the completion of a piloted roundtrip journey with its all-electric Midnight aircraft on July 30th, departing from Salinas Municipal Airport and landing at Monterey Regional Airport before making the return flight. Archer worked closely with the FAA to execute this piloted, round trip inter city flight, a major step toward launching Midnight operations under the White House’s eIPP program later this year.

Midnight covered each leg of the journey in roughly nine minutes, a trip that can take ~35+ minutes by car, demonstrating the kind of short, time-saving hops the aircraft was built to fly.
