Seasoned less-lethal technology entrepreneur and internationally recognized business leader brings commercialization, strategic capital and global business expertise to the Company

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, Sept. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alternative Ballistics Corporation (OTCQB: ALBC) (“Alternative Ballistics” or the “Company”), a public safety technology company developing innovative less-lethal solutions, today announced the appointment of Sertan Ayçiçek as Executive President – Global Investments & Strategic Affairs.

Ayçiçek is a globally recognized business leader, entrepreneur and strategic capital expert with more than 25 years of international experience spanning business, investment and diplomacy. Throughout his executive career, Ayçiçek has been recognized four times as “CEO of the Year.” Through his work in diplomacy and international business, he has developed relationships with numerous former prime ministers, ministers and senior government officials around the world.

Ayçiçek currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of IKAR Holdings and Chairman of Switzerland-based Royal Funds. He also serves as Vice President of the Swiss Academy for Leadership and Sustainability and is a member of the Sovereign Investors Council. His work focuses on the intersection of global capital flows, strategic investment, geopolitics and economic development.

Less-lethal technologies have played a significant role throughout Ayçiçek’s career. He previously served as a senior executive at Wattozz, a company that developed what it describes as the world’s first wireless electroshock device, where he was actively involved in the technology’s development, commercialization and international market expansion. His experience in the less-lethal sector also includes his role in the introduction and distribution of Wrap Technologies’ BolaWrap® technology in Turkey.

After evaluating The Alternative®, The Home Defense, the Company’s intellectual property portfolio and its broader commercialization strategy, Ayçiçek identified what he believes is a compelling opportunity to help Alternative Ballistics advance its strategic investment, international business development and global growth initiatives.

“What makes this opportunity with Sertan particularly meaningful is that he knows this industry. He has developed less-lethal technology, worked to commercialize it internationally and understands what it takes to turn technology into a real business. His perspective on what we have built and the markets we are pursuing reinforces our confidence in the opportunity ahead,” said Steve Luna, Chief Executive Officer, Alternative Ballistics Corporation.

Focused on Growth and Execution

Alternative Ballistics is advancing a multi-market strategy built around The Alternative® for professional and law-enforcement applications and The Home Defense for the consumer market, together with international distribution, licensing, technology-transfer and strategic partnership opportunities.

As Executive President – Global Investments & Strategic Affairs, Ayçiçek will work directly with Luna to develop relationships with private investors, family offices and strategic capital sources, while pursuing international partnerships, licensing opportunities, joint ventures, distribution relationships, and government and public-safety initiatives.

“What attracted me to Alternative Ballistics is the scale of what I believe can be built here. I don’t see just one product or one market. I see patented technology with opportunities across professional public safety, the consumer market and international markets, with additional potential through licensing and strategic partnerships.

“Quite frankly, if I had known about The Alternative® technology at the time, I would never have gone down the path of developing a wireless electroshock technology. The Alternative® takes a fundamentally different and, in my view, stronger approach to the problem I was trying to solve years ago, while preserving access to the user’s existing firearm platform and providing an additional less-lethal option.

“After evaluating The Alternative®, The Home Defense and the Company’s broader strategy, I believe Alternative Ballistics presents a compelling opportunity within the less-lethal technology sector. I see more than a single product here; I see a patented technology platform with the potential to scale across professional public safety, the consumer market and international markets. I look forward to applying my experience, global relationships and strategic capital perspective to help the Company pursue international growth, strategic partnerships, investment and licensing opportunities and convert that potential into measurable value.” — Sertan Ayçiçek

“This engagement is about execution. We have spent years building and protecting our technology. We are now focused on turning that foundation into commercial opportunities. Sertan’s industry experience and international relationships can strengthen those efforts as Alternative Ballistics moves into its next stage of development,” said Steve Luna, Chief Executive Officer, Alternative Ballistics Corporation.
