FRAMINGHAM, Mass. & BROKEN BOW, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Ameresco, Inc., (NYSE: AMRC), a leading energy infrastructure company, today announced the groundbreaking of a natural gas facility being developed by Ameresco through its subsidiary Neogenyx Fuels at the Adams Land & Cattle feedlot in Broken Bow, Nebraska.

The August 26, 2026 ceremony brought together agricultural, energy, government, and community leaders to recognize the start of construction on Neogenyx Fuels' first agricultural RNG facility and highlights the growing role renewable fuels can play in supporting agriculture, domestic energy production, and economic development.

The groundbreaking drew strong attendance and featured remarks from Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts, Neogenyx Fuels CEO Michael Bakas, Adams Land & Cattle CEO Abram Babcock, and American Biogas Council Vice President of Policy Heather Dziedzic. The event concluded with an official groundbreaking ceremony and tour of the future facility site.

The Neogenyx Fuels-owned facility is designed to capture manure from the feedlot and convert it into renewable natural gas through eight anaerobic digesters capable of generating more than 4,400 SCFM of biogas. Once upgraded to pipeline-quality RNG, the facility is expected to produce approximately 1.2 million MMBtu annually for transportation and other energy applications. Process byproducts will be beneficially reused onsite as livestock bedding and agricultural fertilizer. The project is also expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 63,700 metric tons annually, equivalent to the carbon sequestered by roughly 63,800 acres of U.S. forest each year.
