waste-to-energy technical
Waste-to-energy describes facilities and technologies that turn household, industrial or organic waste into usable energy—such as electricity, heat or transport fuels—by burning it, capturing gases, or breaking it down biologically. Investors care because these projects can generate steady revenue from selling power and from fees charged to take waste, act like a dual-income asset that converts a disposal cost into a saleable product, while being shaped by regulation, fuel availability and capital costs.
renewable energy solution technical
A renewable energy solution is any product, service or project that generates or stores power from naturally replenishing sources like sunlight, wind, water flow or heat from the earth, or that helps use that power more efficiently. For investors, these solutions matter because they can lower long‑term operating costs, reduce exposure to fossil fuel price swings, and tap growing demand and policy support—think of them as switching a home from costly, variable fuel to a predictable, cleaner utility.
high-efficiency digestion technology technical
High-efficiency digestion technology is a method for breaking down organic material—like food waste, sewage sludge or farm residues—into gas and nutrient-rich solids much faster and with less energy loss than older systems. For investors it matters because higher efficiency can mean more sellable biogas or biomethane, lower operating costs, smaller footprint and faster payback, similar to upgrading from an old car engine to a much more fuel‑saving model.
biogas conditioning and upgrading systems technical
Systems that clean and concentrate raw biogas—removing water, hydrogen sulfide, siloxanes and carbon dioxide—so the gas meets safety, quality and pipeline or vehicle-fuel standards. Think of it as refining crude fuel into usable natural gas: higher purity biogas can be sold at a higher price, qualify for incentives, and avoid costly equipment damage or regulatory fines, so these systems directly affect a project’s revenue, operating costs and market access.
carbon-negative biomethane technical
Methane gas produced from organic waste that, through capture and processing, removes more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than it emits, creating a net reduction in greenhouse gases; think of it as turning waste into usable gas while also pulling carbon out of the air like a vacuum. Investors care because carbon-negative biomethane can create new revenue streams from energy sales and credits, reduce regulatory and reputational risk, and tap growing markets that reward lower‑carbon fuels.

Contract extending relationship with PepsiCo is Anaergia’s first project in Mexico

CARLSBAD, California & BURLINGTON, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Anaergia Inc. (“Anaergia”, the “Company”, “us”, or “our”) (TSX:ANRG) (OTCQX:ANRGF), through its subsidiary, Anaergia Technologies, LLC (“Anaergia Technologies”), has signed a contract with Anaergia PepsiCo Mexico Foods subsidiary, Sabritas S. de R.L. de C.V, to deliver an integrated renewable energy solution at a PepsiCo Mexico Foods food production facility in Mexico. Under the terms of the contract, Anaergia Technologies is to supply its integrated technology solution using its high-efficiency digestion technology and integrated biogas conditioning and upgrading systems. The project is expected to convert approximately 50,000 tons per year of organic residuals into carbon-negative biomethane. The biomethane will be used on-site at the production facility, offsetting fossil natural gas and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 4,000 tons per year of CO2. This new project is expected to be operational before the end of 2026.

“PepsiCo Mexico Foods strongly believes that the long-term success of our company is intrinsically linked to a healthy planet, resilient food systems, and the holistic well-being of our people and the communities we serve,” said Salvador Alvarez, Senior Manager of Environmental Sustainability at PepsiCo. “The economic and environmental benefits of this new project will strengthen our business for the long run.”

“North America is now the fourth continent where Anaergia has provided systems to Pepsi facilities,” said Assaf Onn, CEO of Anaergia. “This agreement is our first agreement in Mexico showcasing our ability to leverage our technological expertise to serve industry-leading clients globally.”
