The program now offers a flexible, project-based practicum that can often be completed in the nurse's current workplace, without a fixed practicum hour requirement, while remaining compliant with CCNE standards. Students may transfer up to 134 credits, finish in as few as 12 months depending on transfer and pace, and benefit from several tuition-saving paths, including a Corporate Alliance Grant that can bring estimated total program tuition and fees to about $11,490 for qualifying nurses.

Hondros College of Nursing announced its combination with American Public University System (APEI), under which Hondros becomes an Academic Unit operating under the System’s Higher Learning Commission (HLC) institutional accreditation. This integration expands educational pathways, enabling Hondros students to pursue bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral nursing degrees and other career-focused programs across APEI’s institutions, including Rasmussen University.

APUS ranked tenth-lowest among four-year for‑profit schools and in the top ten percentile versus 1,273 four-year not‑for‑profits. The company also highlighted tuition slightly below the four-year public average ($8,840), per‑credit rates of $250–$470, no admission or registration fees, and free ebooks for eligible students.
