Key Terms

architectural glass segment technical
The architectural glass segment is the part of the building materials market that makes and sells glass products used in construction—such as windows, curtain walls, skylights, storefronts and interior partitions—designed for strength, insulation, light control and appearance. Think of it as the ‘skin and windows’ of buildings; its sales and margins move with construction activity, building design trends, energy efficiency rules and safety or aesthetic standards, so it affects companies’ revenue and profit exposure in the construction supply chain.
p&l financial
A P&L, short for profit and loss statement, is a snapshot of a company's money in and money out over a set period that shows whether the business made a profit or suffered a loss. Think of it like a household budget or a scorecard: it shows sales, costs and the bottom-line result, helping investors judge whether the company is earning enough, managing expenses, and likely to grow or face financial stress.
mergers and acquisitions financial
Mergers and acquisitions are processes where companies combine or one company purchases another to grow or improve their business. Think of it like two teams joining forces or one team buying out another to become stronger and more competitive. These activities matter to investors because they can influence a company's value, future growth, and overall market position.
