The system extends Arbe's offering into ground autonomy. Built on its automotive-grade radar architecture, Gryphon combines 48 transmitting and 48 receiving channels to produce four-dimensional imaging data. Arbe says it is designed to detect obstacles, including ditches and holes, and support navigation where satellite positioning is unavailable. Intended applications range from operator assistance and remote operation to fully autonomous vehicles.

Key Terms

3 terms
gnss technical
"where GNSS satellite navigation is degraded or unavailable"
GNSS stands for Global Navigation Satellite System, a network of satellites that provide precise location and timing information anywhere on Earth, like a constantly available digital map and clock. It matters to investors because many industries—transportation, agriculture, telecom, finance and defense—rely on this positioning and timing for products, services and critical infrastructure; improvements or disruptions in GNSS can change costs, create new revenue streams, or introduce operational risk.
lidar technical
"can significantly limit cameras and lidar"
Lidar, which stands for Light Detection and Ranging, is a technology that uses laser beams to create detailed, three-dimensional maps of the environment. It works like a sophisticated eye that measures distances by bouncing light off objects, helping machines see and understand their surroundings. For investors, lidar is important because it enables advancements in autonomous vehicles, robotics, and mapping, which can drive innovation and growth in related industries.
odometry technical
"free-space mapping, tracking, odometry, and localization"
The process of estimating a moving vehicle or robot’s change in position and orientation over time by integrating measurements from motion sensors (for example, wheel encoders, inertial sensors, or camera-derived motion). Odometry produces a relative track of where the platform has moved by updating its pose incrementally; because it accumulates small measurement errors, its estimates drift over time and are commonly corrected with absolute references such as GPS, known landmarks, or map-based localization.

New Offering Expands Arbe's Radar Technology into the Growing Ground Autonomy Market

TEL AVIV, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Arbe Robotics Ltd. (Nasdaq: ARBE) (TASE: ARBE), a global leader in ultra-high-resolution radar solutions, today introduced the Gryphon Radar System, a new ultra-high-resolution 4D imaging radar designed for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), bringing reliable perception to vehicles navigating dust, rough terrain, and unpaved routes, where other sensors typically provide degraded imaging. The new system expands Arbe's addressable markets to include the growing UGV market.

Arbe Logo

The global UGV market is projected to reach $7.7 billion by 2033 growing at a CAGR of 10%, driven by expanding adoption across both military and civilian applications. UGVs are increasingly being deployed for defense, logistics, mining, agriculture, and industrial applications, where vehicle autonomy both reduces human exposure to hazardous environments and increases efficiency.

As these vehicles become more autonomous, perception and navigation become increasingly critical. Unlike vehicles on paved roads, UGVs operate across unstructured terrain, often where GNSS satellite navigation is degraded or unavailable. Dust, smoke, fog, rain, snow, and darkness are daily off-road conditions that can significantly limit cameras and lidar, creating a need for perception technologies that continue to provide detailed and reliable imaging when visibility is degraded.

Gryphon is designed to provide the perception foundation for ground autonomy. Its dense 4D imaging radar data provides the spatial detail required to detect and separate rocks, debris, barriers, vegetation, and other obstacles, as well as negative obstacles such as ditches, holes, and washouts where the vehicle cannot safely drive. Beyond detecting the environment, the radar data enables free-space mapping, tracking, odometry, and localization, supporting navigation in environments where GNSS is unavailable.

"We believe that Gryphon will deliver the highly detailed perception that UGVs need to navigate and operate autonomously through dust, unstructured terrain, and other challenging conditions," said Ram Machness, CEO of Arbe. "For Arbe, this opens a significant new market, where the capabilities of our ultra-high-resolution radar are particularly well suited to the challenges these vehicles face. With Gryphon, we are bringing our complete radar technology stack to market as a radar system built for the realities of off-road autonomy."

Built on Arbe's automotive-grade radar architecture, Gryphon combines 48 transmitting and 48 receiving channels to generate a dense 4D point cloud. It is compact and easy to integrate: its solid-state hardware has no moving parts, is optimized for low SWaP-C (size, weight, power, and cost), and supports extended data cable lengths for flexible sensor placement. Gryphon scales from small UGVs to large industrial and heavy-duty vehicles, and from operator assistance and remote operation to leader-follower convoys and full autonomy.
