Archrock Reports Third Quarter 2026 Results
Higher earnings and a larger dividend accompanied lower revenue, operating cash flow and fleet utilization.
Sentiment and the balance of points
Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.
Rhea-AI Summary
Archrock (NYSE: AROC) reported third-quarter 2026 net income of $84.5 million, up from the same period a year earlier. Earnings per share rose to $0.48 from $0.40, while revenue declined to $370.8 million from $382.4 million. Adjusted EBITDA, a non-GAAP earnings measure, increased to $228.4 million from $220.9 million.
Contract operations revenue rose 1.5% to $331.2 million, but aftermarket services revenue fell to $39.7 million from $56.2 million. Operating cash flow declined to $158.824 million from $164.530 million. Leverage fell to 2.5x from 3.1x a year earlier. Archrock reaffirmed 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance of $865 million–$885 million. Its quarterly dividend increased approximately 10% year over year to $0.23 per share, payable November 10, 2026. Fleet utilization ended the quarter at 94.3%, versus 96.0% a year earlier.
How this balance works
Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.
It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.
Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Management Commentary and Outlook
“The continued strength and profitability of our business reflect consistent customer demand and a structurally tight compression market,” said Brad Childers, Archrock’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “We achieved our strongest bookings quarter since the second quarter of 2023, including strong bookings in the Permian Basin. Rising gas-to-oil ratios and additional takeaway capacity in the basin are supporting sustained compression requirements. While customer maintenance deferrals affected aftermarket activity and higher lube oil prices created near-term cost pressure, we are actively mitigating these headwinds through cost discipline and operating efficiencies. The underlying demand fundamentals remain strong, supporting our confidence in the long-term outlook.
“We remain focused on executing our disciplined growth program, deploying horsepower to meet customer demand and delivering the operational reliability our customers expect. With durable natural gas demand supported by long-term growth in LNG exports and power generation, a strong balance sheet and a disciplined, returns-based approach to capital deployment, Archrock is well positioned to invest alongside our customers at attractive returns, generate durable free cash flow and deliver consistent shareholder returns,” concluded Childers.

Management uses these non-GAAP measures as supplemental measures to review our current period operating performance, comparability measure and performance measure for period-to-period comparisons without burdened earnings and earnings per share for non-recurring transactional costs. |
| (3) | Basic and diluted earnings per common share is computed using the two-class method to determine the net income per share for each class of common stock and participating security (restricted stock and stock-settled restricted stock units that have non-forfeitable rights to receive dividends or dividend equivalents) according to dividends declared and participation rights in undistributed earnings. Accordingly, we have excluded net income attributable to participating securities from our calculation of basic and diluted earnings per common share. |
