Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

$100,000 donation to The Salvation Army Western Division will support youth programs at the North Corps Community Center in North Omaha

OMAHA, Neb., Nov. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Associated Banc-Corp (NYSE: ASB) ("Associated" or "Company") and the Associated Bank Foundation are committing $2.1 million in Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa, including a $100,000 donation from Associated Bank to The Salvation Army Western Division to support youth programming at its North Corps Community Center and $2 million in community investments through the Associated Bank Foundation. Associated President and CEO Andy Harmening announced the commitment at The Salvation Army Tree of Lights Family Festival, weeks after Associated completed its conversion of American National Bank.

Associated Bank

The $2 million community investment will support community organizations across Nebraska and Council Bluffs. Together, the commitments mark Associated Bank and Associated Bank Foundation's first major community investment in Omaha since American National customers transitioned to Associated Bank in October.

Between 2015 and June 2025, American National supported an average of 337 community organizations each year, partnering with nonprofits, entrepreneurs, educators and civic leaders across the region. Associated Bank and the Associated Bank Foundation are committed to continuing that tradition of community involvement, and this investment builds on that legacy with the added resources of a larger regional bank.

"For Associated, being part of Nebraska and Council Bluffs is about more than having a presence here. It's about being part of the community by showing up, building relationships and supporting the organizations that make these great places to live and work," said Harmening. "We're proud that the Associated Bank Foundation will invest $2 million to support organizations that help our communities thrive. We know that building strong communities takes partnership, commitment and people who are willing to invest in one another."

The Salvation Army donation will provide $25,000 a year for four years beginning in January 2027. The funding will support youth programs at the North Corps Community Center, located at 24th and Pratt Streets in North Omaha, including the center's after-school program and summer day camp. American National Bank led the capital campaign to fund the center, and Associated's donations will carry on that investment for the community's benefit for years to come.

"This $100,000 donation will help strengthen the programs and opportunities we provide at our North Omaha Community Center, giving young people a safe, supportive environment where they can learn, grow and build a brighter future," said Jeff Beckman, executive director of development at The Salvation Army Western Division. "We're grateful for Associated Bank's generous commitment to investing in the youth of North Omaha and partnerships like this one make a meaningful difference for the families and neighborhoods we serve."

Jason Hansen, Associated's Nebraska and Western Iowa market president, began his career at American National Bank as a teller in 2000 and served as the bank's president before joining Associated.

"American National built its reputation on knowing this community, and that local knowledge is still at the heart of how we serve Nebraska and Council Bluffs," said Hansen. "What's changed is what we can bring to it. The local relationships are still here, and now they're backed by the scale to do more, from expanded banking capabilities for our customers to investments like this one in the organizations that make our communities strong."

Associated completed the conversion of American National Bank customer accounts in October 2026. The acquisition, which was announced in December 2025, closed April 1, 2026, and expanded Associated's presence into Nebraska and Iowa while further strengthening its presence in the Twin Cities as part of the bank's organic growth strategy.
