Sentiment and the balance of points
Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.
Rhea-AI Summary
Atico Mining (ATCMF) reported third-quarter 2026 copper production of 2.08 million pounds at its El Roble mine, down year over year. Gold production reached 2,472 ounces, up 30% from Q3 2025, while copper output fell 7%. Ore mined and tonnes processed each declined 15%, despite an 8% increase in daily processing to 802 tonnes. Copper grade rose 8% to 1.97%; gold grade increased 37% to 2.09 grams per tonne. Copper recovery was essentially unchanged at 91.4%, while gold recovery rose 11% to 70.1%.
Atico expects production to improve next quarter through higher copper and gold grades and expects its ongoing reserves update to extend mine life. Concentrate sales totaled 4,901 dry metric tonnes across one shipment; closing inventory was 2,021 dry metric tonnes, versus opening inventory of 1,491. Management said higher gold production was helping reduce all-in sustaining cash costs.
How this balance works
Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.
It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.
Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

We are seeing the planned improvements in quarterly production as we overcome the operational challenges faced during the development and preparation of the higher-grade areas of the mine. Gold grade and recovery were particularly strong this period and gets us closer to our gold guidance production. Higher gold production is also having a meaningful positive impact on our all-in sustaining cash costs, while we also benefit from strong revenue driven by higher metal prices” stated Fernando E. Ganoza, CEO. “We anticipate production for the following quarter will continue to improve driven by higher copper and gold head grades, while at the same time we are advancing the reserves report update where we expect an increase in the life of mine.

Concentrate Inventory
The number of shipments the Company can export in any given quarter depends on several variables some of which the Company does not control, hence there may be an inherent variability in tonnes shipped quarter to quarter.

El Roble Mine
The El Roble mine is a high grade, underground copper and gold mine with nominal processing plant capacity of 1,000 tonnes per day, located in the Department of Choco in Colombia. Its commercial product is a copper-gold concentrate.
Since obtaining control of the mine on November 22, 2013, Atico has upgraded the operation from a historical nominal capacity of 400 tonnes per day.
El Roble’s reserves estimate, with an effective date of March 12, 2024, includes Proven and Probable mineral reserves of 828 thousand tonnes averaging
Mineralization is open at depth and along strike and the Company plans to further test the limits of the deposit. On the larger land package, the Company has identified a prospective stratigraphic contact between volcanic rocks and black and grey pelagic sediments and cherts that has been traced by Atico geologists for ten kilometers. This contact has been determined to be an important control on VMS mineralization on which Atico has identified numerous target areas prospective for VMS type mineralization occurrence, which is the focus of the current surface drill program at El Roble.
