Final Tunkillia Assays Among the Best Infill Results To-Date, with Broad, High-Grade Intersections Throughout 'Starter Pit' Outlines
All Phase 2 assays are now received, with resource remodelling underway ahead of a planned Q1 2027 pre-feasibility study.
Sentiment and the balance of points
Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.
Rhea-AI Summary
Barton Gold Holdings (BGDFF) reported final Phase 2 drilling assays showing gold intersections across starter pit outlines at its Tunkillia project. Results include 53m at 2.51 grams of gold per tonne from 60m depth in TKB0745 and 21m at 4.13 grams per tonne from 61m in TKB0742. TKB0724 returned 26m at 2.79 grams per tonne from 126m, including 1m at 53.5 grams per tonne.
All Phase 2 assays have been received. Phases 1 and 2 comprised 57,653m across 520 holes. Barton is remodelling Tunkillia mineralisation, with a gold resource estimate update pending. The company plans a silver resource update and a pre-feasibility study in Q1 2027, intended to support a mining lease application thereafter.
How this balance works
Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.
It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.
Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

- Updated gold and silver JORC Mineral Resource Estimates (MRE) to follow, with PFS targeted for Q1 CY27 delivery to support Mining Lease application thereafter
Barton Gold Holdings Limited (ASX:BGD)(OTC:BGDFF)(FRA:BGD3) (Barton or Company) is pleased to announce the final assays from ‘Phase 2' upgrade drilling at its South Australian Tunkillia Gold Project (Tunkillia).
Broad, high-grade assays continue to infill Tunkillia's ‘Starter Pits', reinforcing the central high-grade zone driving early project economics, and highlighting the potential for new high-grade mineralisation.
A total of 57,653m was drilled across 520 RC and DD holes during ‘Phase 1' and ‘Phase 2' upgrade drilling, with ‘Phase 2' comprising 38,760m across 311 holes. With all ‘Phase 2' assays now received, Barton has prepared representative cross-sections of ‘Phase 2' results for the ‘Area 51', ‘223 North' and ‘Area 223' optimised open pit areas from its May 2025 Optimised Scoping Study (OSS).
Full details can be accessed in the complete announcement on the ASX website or directly by clicking here.
Commenting on the ‘Phase 2' Tunkillia assay results, Barton Managing Director Alexander Scanlon said:
"We are pleased with the results of Tunkillia's ‘Phase 2' infill assays, which support the highest-grade results of ‘Phase 1' drilling and the potential for new, shallower zones of high-grade mineralisation within the existing ‘Starter Pits'.
"We are now remodelling all Tunkillia mineralisation with the benefit of nearly 58,000m additional drilling since last year. A JORC Resources update for gold is pending, and a JORC update for silver and a PFS are planned for Q1 CY27."
