Benton Makes Second High-Grade Gold Discovery of 37.87 g/t Au at the Quinlan Zone and Discovers Visible Gold Assaying 79.1 g/t Au at the Rickirb Zone, Dominion Project
Quinlan and Rickirb are drill-ready, with targeting underway and 159 channel sample results still outstanding across three zones.
Sentiment and the balance of points
Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.
Rhea-AI Summary
Benton Resources (BNTRF) reported new gold channel-sampling results from the Quinlan trenches at its Dominion Project in Central Newfoundland. Line 2 returned 6.59 grams of gold per tonne over 6.0 metres, including 37.87 g/t over 1.0 m. Line 1 returned 3.84 g/t over 5.0 m, including 18.28 g/t over 1.0 m. Grab samples containing visible gold at Rickirb #3 assayed 79.1 g/t and 15.2 g/t.
Results for 159 channel samples remain outstanding. Both gold zones are drill-ready, with targeting underway. Local topography limited sampling at the 10 Grammer trench. Benton also expects its planned Great Burnt spin-out to distribute $15.0 million in value collectively to Benton and its shareholders, backed by $10.0 million in financing.
How this balance works
Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.
It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.
Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

(TSXV: BEX) ("Benton" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Company has received the first channel sample results from its Quinlan trenches. Highlights include 6.59 g/t Au over 6.0 m, including 37.87 g/t Au over 1.0 m on Line 2 and 3.84 g/t Au over 5.0 m including 18.28 g/t Au over 1.0 m on Line 1. The Quinlan #1 trench is located approximately 100 m west of the 2025 prospecting area, where surface samples returned up to 10.8 g/t Au. At the 10 Grammer trench, the Company received 1.95 g/t Au over 0.8 m, and 396 ppb Au over 0.8 m in channel sampling; however, sampling was limited by the local topography.
In addition, Benton is pleased to announce that further sampling at the Rickirb #3 trench has returned high-grade visible gold-bearing grab samples that assayed 79.1 g/t Au and 15.2 g/t Au. These results are highly encouraging at such an early stage of discovery and underscore the strong potential of the system with continued sampling and evaluation.
To date, Benton's Dominion Project has delivered exceptional results with 159 channel sample results still outstanding at Ellie, Rickirb and Quinlan.
The new Quinlan Gold discovery represents another significant advancement of the Dominion Project, showing the vast potential of the Tulks Volcanic Belt in Central Newfoundland. Quinlan sits approximately 6.4 km from the new Rickirb Gold Zone and 20 km by road from Equinox Gold's Valentine Gold Mine.
Benton's news release on September 10, 2026, announced the first significant gold discovery from channel sampling at the Rickirb gold zone delivering highlights of 1.80 g/t Au over 11.2 m including 6.36 g/t Au over 3.0 m and 10.58 g/t Au over 1.0 m, 8.00 g/t Au over 2.0 m, including 30.53 g/t Au over 0.5 m and 4.20 g/t Au over 3.7 m, including 15.29 g/t Au over 0.9 m. The Rickirb gold zone remains open in all directions. Both the Rickirb and Quinlan gold zones are drill-ready and targeting is in progress.

The Company started assembling the Dominion Project in November of 2023, after a large parcel of land became available for staking and has since accumulated a very large and prospective land position through further claim staking, option agreements and claim purchases. Since acquiring the project, which lies within an excellent and highly prospective geologic terrain, the Company has made new discoveries.
In addition, the Company would like to remind its shareholders that the spin-out of the Great Burnt Project continues to move along at a steady pace. (See NR dated July 27, 2026). The spin-out, through the share distribution to Benton shareholders, will collectively provide Benton and its shareholders with a distribution of a

QA/QC Protocols
Core and rock samples, including standards, blanks and duplicates, are submitted to Eastern Analytical Ltd., Springdale, Newfoundland for preparation and analysis. All samples were delivered by Benton personnel, in sealed bags, to the Springdale lab. Samples are analyzed by Au Fire assay @ 30 g + ICP-34 method that delivers a 34-element package utilizing a 200 mg subsample totally dissolved in four acids and analyzed by ICP-OES analytical technique. Overlimits are analyzed using the atomic absorption method, using a 0.200 g to 2.00 g of sample, digested with three acids. All reported assays are uncut. Eastern achieved ISO 17025 accreditation in February 2014 (for more details on the scope of accreditation visit the CALA website).
