A stablecoin is a type of digital currency designed to keep its value steady, often by being backed by traditional assets like money or commodities. For investors, stablecoins offer a reliable way to move money quickly across digital platforms without the value fluctuations common with other cryptocurrencies, making them useful for saving, trading, or transferring funds with less risk of sudden losses.
on-chain treasuryfinancial
An on-chain treasury is a pool of a project's funds held and managed directly on a public blockchain, where balances and transactions are visible to anyone and spending rules can be enforced by programmable code rather than a single custodian. For investors this matters because it provides unusually high transparency and automated safeguards—like an open, self-auditing company safe—but also exposes assets to market volatility, hacking risk, and governance decisions that can quickly change how funds are used.
Crypto-as-a-Servicetechnical
Crypto-as-a-service is a package of ready-made digital currency tools and infrastructure that lets businesses add cryptocurrency features—like wallets, payments, token issuance, and custody—without building the technology themselves. For investors, it matters because it can speed a company's move into the crypto market, lower technical risk and upfront costs, and provide a clearer path to new revenue streams or regulatory exposure—much like leasing a storefront instead of constructing one from scratch.
custodial walletfinancial
A custodial wallet is a digital account where a third party holds and manages cryptocurrency or digital assets on your behalf, similar to how a bank holds cash for a customer. It matters to investors because entrusting a provider with control of your assets affects security, access and regulatory protections — you trade direct control for convenience, meaning your ability to move or recover funds depends on that custodian.
qualified custodyregulatory
An arrangement where a regulated, vetted third-party custodian holds and safeguards financial assets on behalf of an investor, fund, or company, operating under specific legal and operational standards. It matters to investors because qualified custody reduces the risk of loss, theft or commingling, preserves clear legal ownership and helps meet regulatory and audit requirements — like keeping valuables in a bank safe deposit box that is subject to formal rules and inspections.
tokenized real-world assetsfinancial
Tokenized real-world assets are physical or financial items — such as real estate, bonds, art, or commodities — represented by digital tokens on a secure online ledger, enabling ownership to be divided into small, tradable pieces. For investors this can mean easier buying and selling, lower minimum investments and faster settlement, but it also introduces technology, market and legal risks, so it's like turning a house into many tradeable shares with new rules and costs to consider.
API-driventechnical
API-driven describes a product, service, or business built around application programming interfaces (APIs) — digital doorways that let software systems talk, share data and automate tasks — rather than manual handoffs or one-off integrations. For investors it signals easier scaling, faster partnerships and lower per-unit operating costs because new customers or features can be added like snapping in modules; it also highlights dependence on technical partnerships and the need for robust cyber-security.

BitGo Bank & Trust, National Association (“BitGo”), an OCC-regulated digital asset trust bank and subsidiary of BitGo Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: BTGO), and Stable Sea, a platform built for B2B stablecoin infrastructure, today announced a partnership designed to support secure digital asset and on-chain treasury solutions for businesses. Through the partnership, Stable Sea will leverage BitGo’s Crypto-as-a-Service (CaaS) infrastructure to provide customers access to institutional-grade digital asset solutions such as the ability to buy, sell, and hold bitcoin and stablecoins securely through custodial wallet solutions, with BitGo maintaining insurance coverage on assets held in qualified custody.
Through BitGo’s CaaS solution, Stable Sea customers will be able to securely hold and trade supported digital assets, including bitcoin and stablecoins, within a regulated custody wallet environment. The partnership is intended to support modern treasury use cases such as B2B stablecoin payments and access to tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), including tokenized money market funds and fixed-income products, where available and permitted.
The partnership underscores BitGo’s focus on providing regulated infrastructure that enables platforms to offer digital asset capabilities to their end customers without building specialized crypto infrastructure in-house.
“Enterprises want to engage with digital assets through infrastructure that is built for security, controls, and regulatory rigor,” said Mike Belshe, CEO and Co-founder of BitGo. “By powering Stable Sea through our Crypto-as-a-Service platform, we’re helping companies offer secure crypto access to their users and bring digital asset innovation to traditional treasury workflows.”
“Stable Sea is building a modern payments and treasury platform that enables businesses to access next-generation financial services using stablecoins and digital assets," said Tanner Taddeo, CEO and Co-founder of Stable Sea. "Our partnership with BitGo integrates secure crypto infrastructure directly into the platform, allowing customers to adopt on-chain workflows with stronger safeguards and governance.”
BitGo’s CaaS solution provides an API-driven framework designed to help platforms offer secure, scalable digital asset services, including qualified custodywallet infrastructure and crypto trading capabilities that can support digital asset treasury and transaction workflows.
