Chubb (CB) has appointed Johan Oosthuizen as Global Head of Digital Business and Gabriel Lazaro as Global Head of Digital Growth & Strategic Consumer Partnerships, effective immediately.
Oosthuizen will oversee all aspects of Chubb’s global digital business, including partnership acquisition and performance and the deployment of approved products. He will report to Paul McNamee and be accountable to Bryce Johns for life-related production. Lazaro will lead partnership relationships and growth strategies across digital platforms, technology companies and emerging ecosystems, covering both P&C and Life across Chubb Overseas General and North America. Chubb (CB) appointed Sean Ringsted as Chief Scientist and Executive Vice President, Chubb Group, effective immediately.
This newly created role gives Ringsted responsibility for the company’s worldwide artificial intelligence, data and analytics strategy and initiatives. He has more than three decades of experience at Chubb and its predecessor ACE Group, spanning risk, digital transformation, analytics and actuarial leadership. Ringsted most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chubb Group and Chief Digital Business Officer, where he led Chubb’s global AI efforts and built its digital business unit. Chubb Limited (NYSE: CB) announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $1.02 per share, payable on October 2, 2026 to shareholders of record at the close of business on September 11, 2026. Dave Roberts, formerly Chief Operating Officer, Westchester, has been appointed Vice President, Chubb Group and Division President, Westchester, succeeding Lupica. The appointments are effective immediately. According to Chubb, Lupica brings more than 40 years of industry experience, while Roberts has nearly 20 years of experience, including over a decade in senior roles at Westchester.
Chubb (NYSE: CB) reported second-quarter 2026 net income of $2.85 billion ($7.30 per share), down 3.8% year over year, while core operating income rose 14.6% to $2.84 billion ($7.26 per share, up 18.2%). Consolidated net premiums written were $14.7 billion, up 3.6%.
P&C net premiums written grew 3.0% (6.3% excluding large account and E&S property), and Life Insurance net premiums written rose 7.5% with segment income up 9.0%. P&C underwriting income increased 18.8% to $1.94 billion, with a combined ratio of 83.8% versus 85.6% a year ago. Pre-tax net catastrophe losses were $475 million compared with $630 million.
Pre-tax net investment income reached a record $1.76 billion (up 12.3%), with adjusted net investment income of $1.88 billion (up 11.4%). Book value per share rose 12.3% year over year to $195.45, and tangible book value per share increased 17.1% to $131.93. Capital returned to shareholders in the quarter totaled $1.37 billion, including $979 million of share repurchases and $395 million in dividends.

Chubb (NYSE: CB) released a survey of 1,000 affluent young U.S. collectors (“HENRYs,” ages early 20s–mid-40s, income $250,000–$1,000,000+) who own luxury items such as watches, jewelry, art, wine, antiques, and sports memorabilia worth $10,000–$100,000+.
According to Chubb, 78% of respondents treat collecting as a long-term, investment-oriented activity, yet less than half have insured their collections. While 94% are interested in valuables insurance and 58% prefer to buy coverage online, 46% of uninsured collectors mistakenly believe homeowners insurance provides adequate valuables protection.
The study shows strong digital preferences: 71% prefer to complete acquisitions digitally and 61% favor digital authentication, though 70% still like sourcing items in person. Chubb highlights growing demand for embedded, point-of-sale valuables insurance in luxury retail and online marketplaces.
