DALLAS, March 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Comerica Bank and Iron Mountain Incorporated, the global leader in storage and information management services, will shred sensitive paper documents for free from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 at Iron Mountain's DFW flagship station located in Mercer Business Park on the northwest corner of I-35 and 635 (12121 N. Stemmons Freeway, Dallas 75237).

"Our Shred Day event continues to raise awareness of preventing identity theft and protecting and preserving the environment," said David Milton, Comerica Bank Dallas Market President. "For more than 175 years, the effort we make to go beyond traditional banking services has allowed us to become a force for good in the communities where we live and serve. Hosting Shred Day is one of the many ways we deliver on the Comerica Promise of raising expectations of what a bank can be."

The public, including small business owners and nonprofits, is invited to bring personal or business paper documents to be securely destroyed, recycled and later turned into pulp. There is no limit to the amount of paper individuals can bring – there will be a special lane for large loads (box trucks, flatbeds, trailers and cargo vans). A complete list of Shred Day guidelines and more event details can be found at comerica.com/ShredDayDFW.

This event also will help fight hunger. The North Texas Food Bank will be on-site to collect cash and credit card donations, as well as nonperishable food items.

"The community's generous food and monetary donations help the food bank fill its pantries just before summer, one of the hungriest times for young North Texans unable to get free meal assistance at school during summer vacation," Milton said.

Since 2011, Shred Day DFW has securely destroyed and recycled more than 3.9 million pounds of paper while providing more than 646,000 meals for DFW area residents facing hunger.
