CME Group (NYSE:CME) has opened registration for its 22nd annual University Trading Challenge, scheduled to run from October 5 to October 31, 2025. The competition, which has seen over 35,000 student participants since its inception, provides college students worldwide with hands-on experience in managing mock investment portfolios using futures trading.
Last year's challenge attracted a record 570 teams with approximately 2,300 students from 180 universities across 24 countries. Participants will have access to professional trading platforms, market data, Dow Jones newsfeed, and The Hightower Report. Registration closes at 5:00 p.m. CT on September 25, 2025.

The CME Group University Trading Challenge is an educational and interactive opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students worldwide. Students or faculty advisors can lead their teams to manage a variety of marketplace risks to protect their mock investment portfolios.
