4 terms
sip technical
"recognized authority in real-time communications, including SIP, voice, messaging"
A Securities Information Processor (SIP) is the centralized system that collects and publishes the official best bid and offer prices and recent trades across multiple stock exchanges, acting like a single public scoreboard that shows the prevailing market price. Investors rely on it to see a consolidated, trustworthy view of price and volume so they can make timely buy or sell decisions; differences between the SIP and faster exchange feeds can affect execution quality and perceived market fairness.
View in glossary
cloud architecture technical
"platform modernization, reliability, cloud architecture, security"
Cloud architecture is the design and organization of computing resources—servers, storage, applications and networks—hosted by third-party providers and accessed over the internet; it is the blueprint for how a company's digital operations run in the cloud. For investors it matters because that blueprint affects a business’s ability to grow quickly, control operating costs, protect data and recover from outages—like choosing a reliable utility grid and building plan that shapes performance, expenses and risk.
technical due diligence technical
"technical due diligence for strategic transactions"
A technical due diligence is a focused review of a company’s products, systems, infrastructure and development processes to assess how well they work, how sustainable they are, and what risks exist. For investors it’s like lifting the hood on a car before buying: it reveals hidden maintenance needs, potential failure points, and whether the technology can support future growth, helping decide value, price and post‑investment plans.
real-time communications technical
"recognized authority in real-time communications, including SIP"
Technology and services that let people and systems exchange voice, video, text and data with almost no delay so conversations and interactions happen live—like a phone or video call instead of an email. It matters to investors because real-time communications can change how businesses sell, serve customers, run remote teams and execute time-sensitive operations, affecting revenue, costs, infrastructure needs and competitive position much like upgrading from snail-mail to instant messaging.
