npn technical
A Natural Product Number (NPN) is a unique identifier issued by a national health regulator to approve a natural health product for sale, confirming that its ingredients, dosage, and label claims meet safety and quality standards. For investors, an NPN is like a product license: it reduces regulatory risk, helps access retail channels, and can be a milestone that supports sales growth and credibility in consumer health markets.
mosfets technical
A MOSFET is a tiny electronic switch used inside chips and power circuits to control the flow of electricity, functioning much like a faucet that opens and closes to let current move when needed. Investors care because MOSFETs directly affect how fast, efficient and small electronic devices and power systems can be, so supply, performance improvements or cost changes in MOSFETs can impact manufacturers’ margins, product competitiveness and capital spending.
igbts technical
Insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) are semiconductor devices that act like high-power electronic switches, turning large currents on and off to control motors, inverters and other power equipment. They matter to investors because demand for IGBTs grows with electric vehicles, renewable energy, industrial automation and data centers; shifts in adoption, supply or price can directly affect the sales, margins and supply chains of companies that make or rely on them.
dc-dc conversion technical
DC-DC conversion is the process of changing one direct-current (DC) voltage level to another inside electronic devices, like lowering a battery voltage to power a chip or raising it for specific components. For investors, it matters because the efficiency, size, heat and reliability of these converters affect product performance, battery life, manufacturing cost and regulatory compliance—factors that influence margins, customer appeal and market competitiveness.
esd technical
Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a minimally invasive medical procedure that uses a thin, flexible tube with tools and a camera to cut out abnormal tissue from the inner lining of the digestive tract in one piece, like removing a stain cleanly from fabric rather than cutting out a whole patch. For investors, outcomes, adoption rates, device approvals and reimbursement for ESD affect market demand for surgical tools, training services and related medical technology, influencing revenue potential and regulatory risk.

PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Diodes Incorporated (Diodes) (Nasdaq: DIOD) today announces an expansion of its automotive-compliant* bipolar transistor portfolio with the introduction of the DXTN/P 78Q & 80Q series. These ultra-low VCE(sat) NPN and PNP transistors deliver industry-leading conduction efficiency and thermal performance, optimized for demanding automotive power switching and control.

The twelve high-performance devices support a broad voltage range, making them suitable for 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V automotive systems. They are ideal for gate driving MOSFETs and IGBTs, power line and load switching, low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulation, DC-DC conversion, and driving motors, solenoids, relays, and actuators. Rated for continuous operation up to +175°C, and offering high ESD robustness (HBM 4kV, CDM 1kV), they provide reliable operation in harsh automotive environments.

Housed in the ultra-compact PowerDI®3333-8 package (just 3.3mm x 3.3mm), these devices cut PCB footprint by up to 75% versus traditional SOT223, freeing space for additional functionality. A large underside heatsink delivers ultra-low thermal resistance (RθJL) of 4.2°C/W. The side-wall plateable (SWP) feature improves automated optical inspection (AOI) visibility and strengthens solder joints. This enhances quality assurance, reduces manual inspection, and supports efficient, reliable manufacturing.

Both series span BVCEO ratings from 30V to 100V and deliver robust current handling. The DXTN/P 80Q series provides extra headroom for demanding designs, with continuous ratings up to 10A and peak pulse capability of 20A. Ultra-low saturation voltage (just 17mV at 1A) and an on-state resistance as low as 12mΩ minimize conduction losses, enabling cooler operation and higher efficiency. This helps designers cut conduction losses by up to 50% versus previous generations, reducing heat and easing thermal management.

The DXTN/P 78Q series is now available from between $0.19 and $0.21, and the DXTN/P 80Q is available from between $0.20 and $0.22; both in 6,000-piece quantities. Standard compliance versions, the DXTN/P 78 & 80 series, are also available and suitable for industrial and commercial applications.
