Insights

Dorman delivered stronger-than-year-ago results: revenue up 7.9% and diluted EPS up 38%, and it reaffirmed full-year guidance.

Dorman Products grew net sales to $543.7 million (+7.9%) and raised gross margin to 44.4%, driving diluted EPS of $2.48 (up 38%) and adjusted diluted EPS of $2.62 (up 34%). The improvement reflects higher volume in the Light Duty segment (net sales $430.3 million, margin expansion to 23.7%), cost-of-goods improvements, and stable SG&A intensity after adjusting for special items.

The business depends on continued commercialization of new products, supply‑chain diversification, and margin maintenance. Risks flagged include sensitivity to tariffs (guidance explicitly factors tariffs as of 10/27/2025), possible supply disruptions, and inventory build: inventories rose to $899.9 million. Watch near-term cash conversion: operating cash from operations for the nine months fell to $71.99 million versus $159.62 million a year earlier. Monitor quarterly working capital trends and interest expense ($7.2 million in Q3) over the next two quarters.

Concrete near-term items to watch include execution against the reaffirmed full-year guidance (net sales growth target 7%–9%, diluted EPS $8.05–$8.35, adjusted diluted EPS $8.60–$8.90), any tariff changes after 10/27/2025, and inventory reduction or improvement in cash from operations over the next two quarters.

Highlights (All comparisons are to the prior year period unless otherwise noted):

  • Net sales of $543.7 million for the quarter, up 7.9% compared to $503.8 million
  • Diluted earnings per share (“EPS”) of $2.48, up 38% compared to $1.80
  • Adjusted diluted EPS* of $2.62, up 34% compared to $1.96
  • Reaffirms its full-year guidance for 2025
