(BVC: ECOPETROL; NYSE: EC) (the "Company") announces that, through a communication dated September 14, 2026, Mr. Hildebrando Vélez Galeano expressed his intention to resign from his position as a member of the Board of Directors, effective September 15, 2026.

Ecopetrol thanks Mr. Vélez Galeano for his contributions to the Board of Directors during his tenure, particularly his leadership and contributions on environmental matters and his continued commitment to strengthening the Company's relationship with local communities and regions.
