Enphase Energy (NASDAQ: ENPH) announced the expansion of its operations in Latin America with the launch of IQ8P™ Microinverters in Colombia, Panama, and Costa Rica. The new microinverters, featuring a peak output AC power of 480W, are designed for both residential and commercial applications.

The IQ8P Microinverters, the most powerful in Enphase's lineup, can manage a continuous DC current of 14 amperes and are compatible with solar modules up to 670W DC. The company offers a 20-year warranty for all IQ8P Microinverters activated in these countries.

This expansion follows recent launches in the Caribbean and builds upon existing operations in Brazil, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. The initiative aims to support the growing demand for clean and resilient energy solutions in the region while maximizing energy production efficiency.

Enphase Energy announced that its IQ8 Microinverters were selected for a 2.2 MW solar project at the Belgoprocess radioactive waste facility in Dessel, Belgium. The project, led by Earth, a leading installer based in Belgium, includes 4,000 IQ8HC Microinverters and will span four rooftops of the facility. There are plans to expand capacity from 2.2 MW to 6 to 8 MW in the coming years. Enphase's microinverters were chosen for their safer AC-based system architecture, cybersecurity, and superior reliability and performance.

The Belgoprocess facility manages radioactive waste from various sources, and the project is expected to be the largest Enphase project worldwide once completed in 2026. The use of Enphase microinverters allows for independent operation of each panel, enhancing system efficiency and safety by converting DC to AC at the source. This distributed architecture also provides sophisticated panel-level monitoring.

The battery system starts at 5 kWh and is scalable up to 40 kWh, featuring 3.84 kW continuous power and 7.68 kW peak power. NextEnergy offers dynamic residential energy contracts at lower prices than traditional suppliers, featuring automatic charging during off-peak hours and transparent pricing.
