SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Intuitive Ventures today announced the appointment of Terri Burke, former head medtech investments at Epidarex Capital and a seasoned operator, as Senior Partner and Dr. Ross Jaffe, a co-founder of Versant Ventures, as Venture Advisor. Both medtech veterans, they will help support the continued growth of Intuitive Ventures in investing in start-ups reimagining the future of minimally invasive care.

With more than two decades of medtech investing and operational leadership experience, Burke will help support the growth of the firm’s investment platform. With over $250 million in assets under management, Intuitive Ventures invests in founders tackling large, meaningful problems that positively impact patient outcomes and the delivery of care through advanced technology.

Most recently, Burke was a Venture Partner and Head of Medtech Investments at Epidarex Capital, where she led the firm’s Fund III US/UK investment strategy, deal flow and medtech brand. Burke also previously co-founded and served as CEO at Protaryx Medical, a pioneering company that enhances access and procedural efficiency in structural heart and electrophysiology interventions. Previously, she served in various senior leadership roles at Edwards Lifesciences (NYSE: EW), including Vice President of Global Marketing and Business Development where she streamlined and re-focused the heart valve business to help drive growth.

Burke is currently a board advisor for Raydiant Oximetry, a Trustee for the Roessler-Chadwick Foundation where she also serves as Chair of the Finance Committee and member of the Executive Committee, and a Director for the Roessler-Chadwick Foundation Group.

In addition to the appointment of Burke, Intuitive Ventures recently welcomed Dr. Ross Jaffe as a Venture Advisor. Dr. Jaffe brings extensive experience in medical devices, diagnostics/monitoring, drug delivery, healthcare software, and venture firm management to his role advising Intuitive Ventures.

Dr. Jaffe was one of the founders of Versant Ventures, where he remains a Legacy Managing Director, and was previously a General Partner at Brentwood Venture Capital, where he started his career as one of the first physicians in the venture capital industry. After stepping back from active investing for Versant, Dr. Jaffe also served as a Venture Advisor for New Enterprise Associates. He is currently a co-founder and Board Chair of Faro Health, an innovative clinical trial software company.
