First Breach (FBDT) completed the first autonomous flight of its proprietary drone prototype as development continues under its agreement with Hellbender.
The prototype took off, followed a predetermined route using satellite navigation, returned and landed without manual control input. The flight used Betaflight, an open-source flight-control system. A transition to the PX4 autopilot is underway alongside airframe and electronics development.
First Breach targets completion of initial prototypes in the fourth quarter of 2026 and the start of scaled production in the second quarter of 2027, with targeted capacity of more than 2,500 drones per week as manufacturing operations expand.
First Breach (NASDAQ:FBDT) announced an expanded recruitment initiative to support increased ammunition production and planned drone manufacturing operations in Hagerstown, Maryland.
