diluted income per common share, adjusted diluted income per common share, non-gaap financial measure
3 terms
diluted income per common share financial
"Diluted income per common share of $3.93 to $3.98 on approximately 55.6..."
Diluted income per common share shows how much profit each share of a company's stock earns, assuming all possible new shares (like stock options or convertible bonds) are sold. It matters because it gives a more realistic picture of a company's profitability per share, especially if many new shares could be created in the future, which can make existing shares seem less valuable.
adjusted diluted income per common share financial
"Adjusted diluted income per common share(1) of $3.95 to $4.00"
"Adjusted diluted income per common share" shows how much profit each share of a company's stock earned, after removing unusual or one-time items to give a clearer picture of regular performance. It helps investors understand how well the company is doing on a normal basis, without temporary effects or unusual costs skewing the results.
non-gaap financial measure financial
"This press release includes the Company’s current outlook for adjusted diluted income per common share, a non-GAAP financial measure."
A non-GAAP financial measure is a way companies present their financial results that excludes certain expenses or income to show how they believe their core business is performing. It matters because it can give a clearer picture of how the company is really doing, but it can also be used to make results look better than they actually are.
