treasury management financial
"In addition to the Commercial Banking division, Lotz leads Treasury Management, Asset-Based Lending..."
Treasury management is a company's day‑to‑day handling of cash, short‑term investments, borrowing and financial risks to make sure bills are paid, excess cash is used wisely, and exposure to things like interest rates or foreign currencies is controlled. Think of it as running the company's checking account and emergency fund so operations keep flowing. For investors, strong treasury management signals that a company can meet obligations, fund growth without costly surprises, and protect value in changing markets.
asset-based lending financial
"Lotz leads Treasury Management, Asset-Based Lending and Equipment Finance, guiding cross-functional teams..."
Asset-based lending is a type of loan where a borrower uses tangible assets — such as inventory, accounts receivable, equipment, or real estate — as collateral to secure credit. For investors, it matters because the quality and liquidity of the pledged assets affect the lender’s risk and the borrower’s borrowing capacity; like borrowing against items in a pawnshop, stronger assets generally mean safer loans and clearer recovery options if the borrower defaults.
equipment finance financial
"Lotz leads Treasury Management, Asset-Based Lending and Equipment Finance, guiding cross-functional teams..."
Equipment finance is the practice of lending money or leasing arrangements that let businesses acquire machinery, vehicles, or technology without paying the full price upfront; think of it like a car loan or rental but for factory machines, computers, or medical devices. Investors care because these deals create steady interest and lease income, carry credit and collateral risk tied to the asset’s value, and tend to fluctuate with economic cycles and business investment, affecting lender profitability and loan portfolios.
capital markets financial
"clients that utilized capital markets products and services throughout his career."
Capital markets are places where people and organizations buy and sell long-term investments like stocks and bonds. They help connect those who need money to grow or fund projects with investors looking to earn returns over time. For investors, capital markets are important because they offer opportunities to invest, save, and grow their wealth through a variety of financial assets.
investment banking financial
"capital markets offerings which span investment banking, syndications and debt capital markets..."
Investment banking is a financial service that helps companies raise money by selling stocks or bonds to investors, similar to how a broker connects buyers and sellers. It also advises businesses on mergers, acquisitions, and other major financial decisions, acting as a guide through complex transactions. For investors, investment banking facilitates access to opportunities and ensures that large financial deals are managed smoothly and efficiently.

syndications financial
"capital markets offerings which span investment banking, syndications and debt capital markets..."
Syndications are arrangements where multiple financial firms team up to share the risk and work of selling a large loan, bond or stock offering so no single firm carries the whole deal. Think of it like several neighbors chipping in to buy and renovate a big house: it lets each firm handle a manageable piece, brings more buyers, and often lowers cost and risk for investors by spreading exposure and improving distribution.
debt capital markets financial
"offerings which span investment banking, syndications and debt capital markets, and commodity and interest rate hedging"
Debt capital markets are the parts of the financial system where companies, governments and institutions raise money by issuing loans, bonds or notes that investors can buy. Investors lend capital in exchange for regular interest payments and eventual repayment of principal, so changes in interest rates, the issuer’s ability to repay, or the amount of new debt offered can directly affect income, risk and the value of holdings—similar to deciding whether to buy someone’s IOU based on how likely they are to pay you back.
interest rate hedging financial
"offerings which span investment banking, syndications and debt capital markets, and commodity and interest rate hedging"
Interest rate hedging uses financial contracts to protect against unexpected changes in borrowing costs or returns caused by movements in interest rates. Like locking the price of fuel before a long trip, it helps companies and investors stabilize cash flows and earnings, reduce the risk that rising rates will inflate loan payments or that falling rates will cut bond values, and therefore affects a firm’s financial predictability and investor risk.
