DELAWARE, Ohio, May 20, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Greif, Inc. (NYSE: GEF, GEF.B), a global leader in industrial packaging products and services, announced today that it has revised its outlook for fiscal second quarter 2021. Fiscal second quarter 2021 diluted Class A earnings per share before adjustments is now expected to be in the range of $1.11$1.15 per share, compared to the Company's previous guidance range of $0.96$1.06 per share.1

The improved guidance range is mainly due to stronger than anticipated volumes and selling prices in the Global Industrial Packaging business and a slightly lower than anticipated tax rate, partially offset by higher than anticipated SG&A expense mainly due to higher incentive accruals.

The Company will report its fiscal second quarter 2021 financial results after the market closes on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. A conference call will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. ET. Conference call details can be found here.
