GMV Minerals Announces Assays from 2026 Diamond Drill Program including: 12.64 gpt Gold over 4.88 m in MHC26-14
Drilling has now tested over 90% of the mineralization, with resource work assessing possible upgrades to higher-confidence categories.
Sentiment and the balance of points
Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.
Rhea-AI Summary
GMV Minerals (GMVMF) completed its 2026 Mexican Hat drilling program in Arizona, reporting gold assays for a planned resource update.
The program completed 4,775 m across 25 diamond drill holes, testing 950 m of strike length and 370 m of width. All holes intersected gold mineralization within the established modeled zones. Highlights included 12.64 grams per tonne of gold over 4.88 m in MHC26-14, 3.298 grams per tonne over 12.39 m in MHC26-24, and 1.334 grams per tonne over 29.57 m in MHC26-09. The 94 reported intercepts averaged 0.87 grams per tonne over 7.74 m. GMV intends to release a revised mineral resource estimate in the coming months; work will assess possible upgrades from inferred to higher-confidence categories.
The 2025 preliminary economic assessment modeled an after-tax net present value of US$268.3 million at a 5% discount rate and US$2,500 per ounce gold, with capital costs of US$89,997,000.
How this balance works
Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.
It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.
Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESS Newswire / October 7, 2026 / GMV Minerals Inc. (the "Company" or "GMV") (TSXV:GMV)(OTCQB:GMVMF) is pleased to announce the completion of the 2026 drilling program at the Mexican Hat Gold project in southeast Arizona. A total of 4,775 m has been completed over 25 diamond drill holes from 24 different drill platforms, testing the deposit over 950 m of strike length and 370 m of width.
The objective of the drill program was to enhance resource definition and provide geomechanical data to inform open-pit slope engineering. All drill holes were designed to intersect the known mineralization at angles >75o in order to provide quality intercept orientations across the true thickness of the deposit. All drill holes intersected significant gold mineralization within the established solids.
Multiple gold-bearing zones were confirmed across the known deposit with numerous notable assays, including:
- 12.64 gpt gold over 4.88 m in MHC26-14
- 3.30 gpt gold over 12.39 m in MHC26-24
- 1.33 gpt gold over 29.57 m in MHC26-09
An extensive listing of significant gold intercepts is shown in Table 2 on the following pages.
Ian Klassen, President & CEO remarked, "MHC26-14 returned one of the highest gold drill intersections reported at the Mexican Hat project to date. All drill holes appear to have intersected significant gold mineralization within the established solids, enabling modelling refinements and an enhancement to the accuracy of the resource model. We now have great confidence in the continuity of the mineralization at the Mexican Hat gold deposit. We look forward to receipt of the updated NI Mineral Resource estimate this fall that that was last compiled over six years ago in June 22, 2020 using a base case of
The Mexican Hat Gold Deposit is a structurally controlled metasomatic gold deposit hosted within peralkaline Cenozoic volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks. Oxidized alkaline fluids hematized and carbonatized domains constrained to and proximal to late fractures that crosscut trachytic basalts, andesite, latities and rhyolite breccias.
Silicification is rare to absent which is believed to contribute to the excellent metallurgical results seen in previous testwork, with column-test gold recoveries up to
Modelling has developed seven zones with a listric normal fault, termed the Principal Controlling Structure (PCS) extending for more than 1,500 m to the northwest and dipping moderately to the northeast. Six other structures appear to branch off the PCS striking to the east-northeast and extend up to 450 m.
The 25 new drill holes will be incorporated into a revised NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate which the company intends to release in the coming months.

Technical Information and Cautionary Note Regarding Inferred Mineral Resources
The mine plan evaluated in the PEA is preliminary in nature and includes Inferred Mineral Resources, as defined by NI 43-101 that are considered too speculative geologically to have the economic considerations applied to them that would enable them to be converted to Mineral Reserves. Mineral Resources that are not Mineral Reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability. Additional drilling and technical studies will need to be completed in order to fully assess its viability. There is no certainty that a production decision will be made to develop the Mexican Hat Project or that the economic results described in the PEA will be realized. Mine design and mining schedules, metallurgical flow sheets and process plant designs will require additional detailed work and economic analysis and internal studies to ensure satisfactory operational conditions and decisions regarding future targeted production. Key assumptions, qualifications and estimates to the results of the PEA are contained in the PEA.

FAQ
AI-generated questions and answers. How Rhea-AI works. Not financial advice.
What were the main gold assays from GMV Minerals' 2026 Mexican Hat drilling?
The highlighted results were 12.64 grams per tonne over 4.88 m in MHC26-14, 3.298 grams per tonne over 12.39 m in MHC26-24, and 1.334 grams per tonne over 29.57 m in MHC26-09. The 94 reported intercepts averaged 0.87 grams per tonne over 7.74 m.
When does GMV Minerals plan to release its updated Mexican Hat resource estimate?
GMV intends to release the revised mineral resource estimate in the coming months. The 25 new drill holes will be incorporated into the estimate, and ongoing work will determine which areas of the existing inferred resource may qualify for higher-confidence indicated or measured categories.
What further technical work does GMV Minerals' Mexican Hat project need before production decisions?
Additional drilling and technical studies are needed to fully assess viability. Mine design and mining schedules, metallurgical flow sheets and process plant designs also require further detailed work, economic analysis and internal studies before decisions regarding future targeted production.
