Itron Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire Urbint, Inc
Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) signed a definitive agreement to acquire Urbint, a Miami-based software company, for $325 million. The purchase will be funded with cash on hand and the transaction is expected to close in Q4 2025. Urbint provides AI-powered operational resilience solutions aimed at protecting workers, public safety, assets, and underground infrastructure and helping restore power faster after major weather events. Itron said the acquisition complements its existing offerings for utilities and cities and will integrate Urbint’s team into Itron’s portfolio.
