Horizon Kinetics LLC launched two new actively managed ETFs: Horizon Kinetics SPAC Active ETF (SPAQ) and Horizon Kinetics Medical ETF (MEDX), effective January 30, 2023. SPAQ is designed to generate realized capital gains by investing in SPACs, seeking to benefit income-dependent investors dissatisfied with traditional bank interest rates. MEDX aims to invest in high-margin pharmaceuticals and biologics, leveraging a long-term investment strategy.
