Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Mercado Minerals (MRMNF) has begun its inaugural 1,500 metre diamond drill program at the Zamora project in Sinaloa, Mexico. HR Drilling has been contracted to conduct approximately twelve holes targeting the Campanillas-La Franca and El Triunfo vein segments, which have never been drill tested.

Targets were selected using surface structural information, surface geochemical data and historical underground geochemical data. Mercado aims to test mineralization at depth and understand the structures controlling silver-gold mineralization to guide follow-up drilling. Campanillas drilling will also test below historical underground workings.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

CEO Comment
Daniel Rodriguez, CEO & Director, commented:
"Commencing drilling at Zamora is an important milestone for Mercado. This is the first drill program ever conducted on the project. Our team has mapped and sampled high-grade silver-gold mineralization at surface along the Campanillas-La Franca and El Triunfo veins, and together with the historic high-grade underground workings, this makes Zamora an attractive area to drill. This program of approximately 12 holes will test those vein segments at depth for the first time. Our goal is to understand the structural controls on the strongest silver-gold mineralization, and what we learn will guide our follow-up drilling. HR Drilling did excellent work for us at Copalito, and we're pleased to have them back on site at Zamora."

Drill Program
The goal of the inaugural 1,500 metre diamond drill program is to test several high-priority segments along the Campanillas - La Franca Vein and El Triunfo Vein, which have been targeted based on compelling surface structural information, surface geochemical data as well as historical underground geochemical data. Initial drilling will test vein segments that have returned high grade results at surface such as 2.40 metres of 528 g/t silver and 0.75 g/t gold, including 1.00 metres of 828 g/t silver, at the Campanillas Vein (see news release dated September 2, 2026), and 1.55 metres of 381 g/t silver and 0.85 g/t gold, including 0.60 metres of 815 g/t silver and 1.66 g/t gold, at the El Triunfo Vein (see news release dated October 26, 2026). Drilling at Campanillas will also test below underground workings where historic sampling reportedly returned 14,561 g/t silver and 15.53 g/t gold from a stockpile grab sample.
