The Fund intends the higher payout to support share trading and potentially reduce its discount to net asset value.

Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

NEW YORK, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Neuberger Next Generation Connectivity Fund Inc. (NYSE: NBXG) (the "Fund") has announced an increase in its monthly distribution rate to $0.132 per share of common stock from the prior monthly distribution rate of $0.12 per share, representing a 10% increase. The distribution rate increase approved by the Board is intended to help support secondary market trading in Fund shares, potentially reduce the trading discount of the Fund's common stock relative to its net asset value and enhance stockholder value. The Fund has also declared its next monthly distribution at the new rate, which is payable on October 30, 2026, has a record date of October 15, 2026, and has an ex-date of October 15, 2026.

The new monthly distribution rate of $0.132 per share represents an annualized distribution per share of $1.584 versus the prior annualized amount of $1.44 and results in a distribution rate of approximately 10.17% of the Fund's market price and 8.77% of its net asset value, as of September 29, 2026.

Under its managed distribution policy, the Fund anticipates that it will make regular monthly distributions, subject to market conditions, of $0.132 per share of common stock, unless further action is taken to determine another amount. The Fund's ability to maintain its current distribution rate will depend on a number of factors, including the amount and stability of income received from its investments, availability of capital gains, and the level of other Fund fees and expenses. There is no assurance that the Fund will always be able to pay a distribution of any particular amount or that a distribution will consist of only net investment income.

Due to an effort to maintain a stable distribution amount, the distribution announced today, as well as future distributions, may consist of net investment income, net realized short-term and long-term capital gains and return of capital. In compliance with Section 19 of the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended, a notice would be provided for any distribution that does not consist solely of net investment income. The notice would be for informational purposes and not for tax reporting purposes and would disclose, among other things, estimated portions of the distribution, if any, consisting of net investment income, capital gains and return of capital. The final determination of the source and tax characteristics of all distributions paid in 2026 will be made after the end of the year.
