Nokia Corporation Interim Report for Q3 2026
Accelerated restructuring weighed on reported operating profit, while additional working capital investment lowered expected cash conversion.
Sentiment and the balance of points
Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.
Rhea-AI Summary
Nokia (NOK) reported Q3 2026 net sales of EUR 5.154 billion, with reported operating profit declining despite higher revenue. Sales rose 10% year over year, while operating profit fell 22% to EUR 196 million. Reported gross margin fell 220 basis points to 42.2%, and operating margin declined to 3.8%. Profit from continuing operations rose 96% to EUR 176 million, with diluted earnings per share of EUR 0.03.
Comparable operating profit, an adjusted measure, rose 35% to EUR 605 million. Network Infrastructure sales increased 15% at constant currencies; Mobile Infrastructure sales rose 5%, partly reflecting revenue accelerated from Q4. Nokia maintained its 2026 comparable operating profit outlook of EUR 2.1–2.6 billion, but lowered expected free cash flow conversion to 35%–55%. Restructuring charges are now expected at EUR 1.1 billion, with related cash outflows of EUR 800–900 million.
How this balance works
Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.
It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.
Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.
