TOLEDO, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Owens Corning (NYSE: OC), a branded building products leader, today announced that Michael DeVito, former Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac), has been elected to the company’s Board of Directors. He has been appointed to serve on the Audit Committee and the Finance and Technology Committee.

As Chief Executive Officer of Freddie Mac, DeVito led one of the nation's largest housing finance organizations. During his tenure, he focused on strengthening the company's operating performance, advancing risk management, and supporting its mission to promote liquidity, stability, and access in the U.S. housing finance system. Prior to Freddie Mac, he spent 24 years with Wells Fargo, serving in a variety of senior leadership positions, including Executive Vice President and Head of Home Lending, where he oversaw more than 25,000 employees.

Currently, DeVito serves as an independent director of NVR, Inc., an NYSE-listed homebuilder, where he is a member of the Compensation Committee. He also serves in an advisory capacity to technology firms in the consumer and home lending sectors.
