OpenWorld (OPNW) completed its business combination with VerifyMe, bringing its real-world asset tokenization business into the combined publicly traded company.
The combined company changes its name to OpenWorld effective October 1, 2026. Its common stock is expected to begin trading on NASDAQ under OPNW at market open that day. OpenWorld intends to pursue a dual listing on Figure OPEN, a blockchain-based trading platform, which it expects to have live by November 2026. Matthew Shaw leads the combined company as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, with Russ McMeekin as Group President. OpenWorld develops infrastructure to turn business and physical-asset cash flows into blockchain-based financial products for institutional investors.
OpenWorld (NASDAQ: OPNW) intends to acquire Blocksight to support development of its institutional platform for tokenized real-world assets. Blocksight builds artificial-intelligence agents designed to bring assets onto blockchains and provide ongoing investor reporting. OpenWorld expects the proposed acquisition to support OpenWorld Enterprise, which remains under development.
The transaction requires final board approval, definitive documentation and satisfaction or waiver of the conditions in that documentation. Completion is not assured. If completed, Blocksight co-founders Patrick Kim and Peter Hong are expected to join OpenWorld and support technology integration. The announcement follows OpenWorld’s completed business combination with VerifyMe; the combined company was renamed OpenWorld, and its common stock began trading on The Nasdaq Capital Market on October 1, 2026 under OPNW.
