Oreterra Metals (OTMCF) has completed its Phase 1, maiden drill program at the Trek South porphyry copper-gold prospect in British Columbia, drilling 13 holes for a total of 4,500 metres across the Trek South ‘A’ and ‘Toe’ zones.
Central holes TS26-06, TS26-09 and TS26-10 at the ‘A’ Zone intercepted multi-hundred metre intervals of strong to intense porphyry-style alteration with visible copper minerals including bornite, chalcopyrite, chalcocite, malachite and chrysocolla. Field work also outlined a new Trek South ‘C’ Zone on the east side of the glacier, where intensely altered boulders host some of the most abundant visible copper mineralization seen on the property to date, and prior work had identified a ‘B’ Zone, expanding the target area around almost the entire 1 km² glacial basin. Two short holes at the Trek South ‘Toe’ Zone intersected multi-metre intervals of strong chalcopyrite mineralization. Assays are expected later in the fall and will guide a Phase 2 drill program planned for 2027, with key camp and drill pad infrastructure left in place to reduce next season’s startup time and costs.
Oreterra Metals (OTCQB: OTMCF) reported a major expansion of its Kinkaid, Nevada copper-gold-silver project through the staking of 43 new claims over the newly defined “KJ Porphyry” target and surrounding areas. According to Oreterra, mapping, sampling and a heli-borne magnetic–radiometric survey have outlined a 1.3 x 0.9 km potassic anomaly with a coincident magnetic low and numerous new copper-gold showings.
The company collected 18 chip and grab samples at KJ, of which 13 returned between 0.28% and 5.79% Cu, and four assayed between 0.9 and 7.6 g/t Au. Oreterra plans roughly 13 line-km of IP and MT geophysical surveys over five suspected porphyry centres and two epithermal gold prospects on Kinkaid, aiming to have the project drill-ready by year-end 2026, subject to BLM permitting.
Oreterra Metals (OTCQB: OTMCF) reports strong porphyry-style alteration with local bornite, chalcopyrite and magnetite mineralization in drill hole TS26-06 at the Trek South prospect in B.C.'s Golden Triangle, adjacent to the Galore Creek project. These high-temperature minerals suggest proximity to the source intrusion believed to centre the Trek South porphyry system. TS26-06 is at 297 metres, targeting 600 metres, with a second rig being deployed nearby to refine targeting. Five holes have been completed and one is in progress, totalling 2,020 metres of a planned 5,000-metre Phase 1 program. The Tahltan Nation and BC Ministry have authorized Oreterra to leave all eight drill pads in place over winter. Assays are pending.
Oreterra Metals (OTCQB: OTMCF, TSXV: OTMC) has begun Phase 1 drilling at its undrilled Trek South porphyry copper-gold prospect in BC’s Golden Triangle, adjacent to Teck-Newmont’s Galore Creek project. The program plans about 5,000 metres in 8 angled core holes along two fences, targeting coincident induced polarization chargeability highs, resistivity lows, and magnetic anomalies interpreted as sulphide- and potassic-alteration-related. Initial hole TS26-01, to 600 metres, is testing multiple overlapping geophysical targets and mineralized boulder trains where a 2022 composite grab sample returned 2.86% Cu, 8.85 g/t Au and 46.5 g/t Ag (non-representative).
Field programs are also underway or planned at the nearby Tundra and Toe zones, which have never been drilled. Separately, Oreterra has commenced trading on the OTCQB Venture Market under symbol OTMCF, which the company expects will enhance investor visibility and liquidity.
