The wearable baby monitor trusted by millions globally expands reach to three continents, including North America, Europe, and now Africa.

LEHI, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Owlet, Inc. (“Owlet” or the “Company”) (NYSE: OWLT), the pioneer of smart infant monitoring, announces the launch of medically-certified Dream Sock™ in South Africa. Distributed as a Class C Medical Device with CE Marking, this groundbreaking product enables parents to track Baby’s live vital signs and receive real-time health notifications, delivering greater peace of mind.

Designed for healthy babies between 0 and 18 months (2.5-13.6 kg), Dream Sock is a trusted tool for families worldwide to Monitor What Matters Most™. Using advanced, hospital-grade technology, Dream Sock tracks Baby’s pulse rate, oxygen level, and sleep patterns, sending live readings to the Owlet Dream App (available via iOS and Android) and the included Base Station. If Baby’s readings fall outside of preset zones, parents receive notifications so they can respond quickly.

“With the launch of Dream Sock as a pediatric medical device in South Africa, we’re taking another important step toward our vision of reaching every family with Owlet’s life-changing technology,” said Jonathan Harris, Owlet’s President. “As we expand into more countries, we’re making hospital-grade monitoring accessible to more parents than ever before, empowering them with the real-time insights they need to care for their little ones.”

While monitoring live vitals, parents also have access to Baby’s history of health readings and sleep patterns in the Owlet Dream App. The Owlet Dream App also features Predictive Sleep Technology, a tool that learns Baby’s past sleep patterns to recommend the best nap and bedtime windows, taking the guesswork out of daily routines. Available as Dream Duo™, Dream Sock pairs seamlessly with Owlet Cam® 2, giving caregivers HD video and audio access to Baby from anywhere, plus motion and sound notifications.

Dream Sock has been recognized internationally for its precision and reliability, meeting rigorous medical device standards in multiple markets across several continents. It is comfortable for Baby, discreet under sleepwear, and effective even during gentle movement and across all skin tones.

Dream Sock is NAPPI coded, allowing eligible consumers to claim reimbursement from their medical aid when purchased through a pharmacy or healthcare provider (subject to applicable terms and conditions). Owlet products are available at Baby City, Babies R Us, Checkers Little Me, A-Z Baby, Takealot.com, and other online retailers.
