Pangaea Logistics Solutions Ltd. Reports Financial Results for the Third Quarter Ended September 30, 2026
Quarter-to-date shipping activity reached 5,040 days at an average time charter equivalent rate of $21,423 per day.
Sentiment and the balance of points
Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.
Rhea-AI Summary
Pangaea Logistics Solutions (Nasdaq: PANL) reported third-quarter 2026 net income attributable to the company of $38.3 million, up from $12.2 million.
Earnings per share rose to $0.59 from $0.19, while revenue reached $219.1 million versus $168.7 million. Adjusted EBITDA increased 81.3% to $52.4 million, with its margin rising to 23.9% from 17.1%. Time charter equivalent rates, a daily shipping revenue measure, increased 31% to $20,414 and exceeded benchmark indices by 13%. Shipping days increased 8% to 6,339.
Quarterly operating cash flow was $57.2 million. Unrestricted cash totaled $144.9 million, and debt including finance leases was $340.9 million. Net debt was 1.4 times trailing twelve-month adjusted EBITDA. After quarter-end, Pangaea refinanced $134 million of debt at a lower margin. A quarterly dividend of $0.10 per share is payable December 15, 2026, to holders of record December 1.
How this balance works
Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.
It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.
Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.
