Higher Attachments earnings accompanied weaker Solutions profitability and increased operating cash use during the first nine months.

Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

4 terms
non-gaap financial measures financial
"With respect to the Company’s 2026 financial outlook, the Company is not able to provide a reconciliation of the non-GAAP financial measures"
Non-GAAP financial measures are numbers companies use to show their financial performance that exclude certain expenses or income. They help investors see how the company might perform without one-time costs or other unusual items, giving a different perspective from official reports. However, since they can be adjusted, they don’t always tell the full story and should be looked at alongside standard financial figures.
adjusted ebitda financial
"Adjusted EBITDA increased 89% to a record $37.9 million"
Adjusted EBITDA is a way companies measure how much money they make from their core operations, like running a business, by removing certain costs or income that aren’t part of regular business activities. It helps investors see how well a company is doing without distractions from unusual expenses or gains, making it easier to compare companies or track performance over time.
free cash flow financial
"Free Cash Flow is a non-GAAP financial measure"
Free cash flow is the amount of money a company has left over after paying all its expenses and investing in its business, like buying equipment or updating facilities. It shows how much cash is available to reward shareholders, pay down debt, or save for future growth. This helps investors understand if a company is financially healthy and able to grow.
View in glossary
diluted eps financial
"producing $0.89 of diluted EPS"
Diluted earnings per share (EPS) shows how much profit a company makes for each share of stock, assuming all possible shares from stock options or convertible securities are used. It provides a more conservative estimate than basic EPS, accounting for potential share increases that could dilute ownership. Investors use diluted EPS to get a clearer picture of a company's true profitability on a per-share basis.

Work Truck Attachments Segment Third Quarter 2026 Results

  • Net Sales increased 78% to a record $121.5 million, as robust preseason demand and strong operational execution led to higher throughput, plus the addition of Venco Venturo.
  • Adjusted EBITDA increased 188% to $30.1 million and Adjusted EBITDA margin increased 945 basis points to 24.8%, based on higher throughput, product mix, plus the timing of shipments between the second and third quarters.
  • As predicted, the continued strength of parts and accessories demand led year-to-date P&A shipments to already exceed the previous annual record set in 2025.
  • As expected, the ratio of pre-season shipments was close to a 50% to 50% split between the second and third quarters, compared to a 60% to 40% split in 2025.

Van Genderen explained, “We are proud of the operational performance from our Attachments team, which responded to the robust demand for our products with a tremendous effort to produce and ship equipment to our dealers. The subsequent improvements in throughput, plus positive product mix led to significant margin improvement for the quarter and year-to-date. Heading into the winter season with confidence, we are driving results through disciplined execution of our strategic initiatives and remain determined to build upon our recent success.”

Work Truck Solutions Segment Third Quarter 2026 Results

  • Net Sales increased 3% to a record $96.5 million, with Adjusted EBITDA of $7.8 million, reflecting sustained strong demand across municipal end markets, which helped mitigate the impact of inconsistent commercial demand.

Van Genderen noted, “The record top-line performance in Solutions is a significant achievement, given that the prior-year third quarter also produced a record. Although inconsistent commercial demand has impacted profitability, the segment continues to perform well overall, supported by sustained municipal demand and a positive outlook. Investments to expand capacity and support growing municipal demand remain on track, and we expect to begin operations at our new Ohio facility in the coming weeks.”

Dividend & Liquidity

  • On a year-to-date basis, approximately $27 million of cash was returned to shareholders through the payment of a quarterly cash dividend of $0.295 per diluted share, and the repurchase of company stock.
  • Net cash used in operating activities increased $26.3 million to $47.5 million for the first nine months of 2026. The change was due to increased working capital to support demand across both segments.
  • Year to date capital expenditures increased by $3.1 million to $11.2 million as planned. 2026 Capital Expenditures are expected to fall within the traditional range of 2% to 3% of Net Sales.

2026 Outlook

Sarah Lauber, Executive Vice President and CFO noted, “This year has exceeded our expectations in many respects, and, through the first nine months of the year, we have surpassed our full-year record Adjusted EPS achieved in 2019. Reflecting this momentum and our continued strong execution, we are increasing the lower end of our guidance ranges. While we are pleased with our progress, it is important to remember that the fourth quarter for our Attachments segment is influenced by the timing and severity of winter weather, which can create meaningful variability in year-end results.”

Use of Non-GAAP Financial Measures

This press release contains financial information calculated other than in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”). The non-GAAP measures used in this press release are Adjusted EBITDA, Adjusted Net Income and Adjusted Earnings Per Share (EPS), and Free Cash Flow. The Company believes that these non-GAAP measures are useful to investors and other external users of its consolidated financial statements in evaluating the Company’s operating performance as compared to that of other companies. Reconciliations of these non-GAAP measures to the nearest comparable GAAP measures can be found immediately following the Consolidated Statements of Cash Flows included in this press release.

Adjusted EBITDA represents net income before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, as further adjusted for certain charges consisting of unrelated legal and consulting fees, stock-based compensation, severance, restructuring charges, acquisition costs, inventory step up related to Venco Venturo, CEO transition costs, debt modification expense, and loss on extinguishment of debt. The Company uses Adjusted EBITDA in evaluating the Company’s operating performance because it provides the Company and its investors with additional tools to compare its operating performance on a consistent basis by removing the impact of certain items that management believes do not directly reflect the Company’s core operations. The Company’s management also uses Adjusted EBITDA for planning purposes, including the preparation of its annual operating budget and financial projections, and to evaluate the Company’s ability to make certain payments, including dividends, in compliance with its senior credit facilities, which is determined based on a calculation of “Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA” that is substantially similar to Adjusted EBITDA.

Adjusted Net Income and Adjusted Earnings Per Share (calculated on a diluted basis) represents net income and earnings per share (as defined by GAAP), excluding the impact of stock based compensation, product liability settlement costs, severance, restructuring charges, acquisition costs, inventory step up related to Venco Venturo, CEO transition costs, debt modification expense, loss on extinguishment of debt, and certain charges related to unrelated legal fees and consulting fees. Management believes that Adjusted Net Income and Adjusted Earnings Per Share are useful in assessing the Company’s financial performance by eliminating expenses and income that are not reflective of the underlying business performance.

Free Cash Flow is a non-GAAP financial measure that we define as net cash provided by (used in) operating activities less the acquisition of property and equipment. Free Cash Flow should be evaluated in addition to, and not considered a substitute for, other financial measures such as Net Income and Net Cash Provided By (Used in) Operating Activities. We believe that free cash flow represents our ability to generate additional cash flow from our business operations.
