nanosecond pulsed field ablation medical
Nanosecond pulsed field ablation is a medical technique that uses extremely short, high‑voltage electrical pulses—each lasting billionths of a second—to selectively disable small areas of tissue, most often to treat irregular heart rhythms. Like a precise, ultra‑brief electric zap that spares surrounding structures, it matters to investors because it can shorten procedure time, reduce complications and recovery, and therefore reshape demand, pricing and adoption for cardiac ablation devices and related services.
atrial fibrillation medical
Atrial fibrillation is a common heart rhythm problem in which the heart’s upper chambers quiver instead of delivering steady, strong pumps, like a washing machine on an unbalanced cycle. It matters to investors because it increases use of medications, medical devices, hospital care and long‑term monitoring, drives demand for new treatments and diagnostics, and can affect healthcare costs, regulatory decisions and revenue prospects across drug, device and insurance markets.
pulmonary vein isolation medical
Pulmonary vein isolation is a medical procedure that treats a common heart rhythm problem by using targeted energy to block abnormal electrical signals coming from the veins that return blood from the lungs to the heart. Think of it like disconnecting a shorted wire so the rest of the electrical system runs normally. Investors care because the procedure drives demand for specific medical devices, hospital services and follow-up care, and shifts potential revenue and regulatory risk in companies that make the tools and technologies used.
3d mapping system technical
A 3D mapping system is a technology that creates a detailed three‑dimensional model of a physical space or anatomical area, often in real time, to guide procedures or inspections. For investors, it matters because these systems can improve accuracy, reduce procedure time and risk, and open new markets for equipment, software and services—similar to how a GPS with a live 3D map helps a driver navigate complicated streets more safely and efficiently.
live case transmission technical
A live case transmission is a real‑time audio‑visual broadcast of a medical procedure or patient case to an external audience, often for training, demonstration, or conference purposes. Investors care because these broadcasts can showcase a hospital’s or device maker’s expertise and market reach, but they also bring regulatory, privacy and reputational risks—like a live product demo that can boost sales if successful, or expose flaws and legal liabilities if something goes wrong.

nPulse Cardiac Catheter for AF ablation to be highlighted in late-breaking clinical science session and in a live case transmission

HAYWARD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Pulse Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLSE), a company leveraging its novel nPulse™ technology using its proprietary Nanosecond Pulsed Field Ablation™ (nanosecond PFA or nsPFA™) energy, today announced its nPulse technology will be featured in a late-breaking science session and a live case transmission featuring the nPulse Cardiac Catheter integrated with Abbott’s EnSiteX™ 3D Mapping System at the 31st Annual AF Symposium 2026 meeting, being held February 5-7 in Boston, Massachusetts.

“We are pleased to share 6-month and 12-month follow-up data from our Cardiac Catheter Human Feasibility Study in Europe. The data are expected to highlight the disruptive potential of nanosecond PFA for the treatment of atrial fibrillation,” said Paul LaViolette, Co-Chairman of Pulse Biosciences’ Board of Directors. “This is an exciting milestone for Pulse Biosciences, and I would like to thank our team, the clinicians and the patients for their contributions to this seminal data set. We look forward to engaging with the entire clinical community at this important meeting.”
