Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Key Terms

4 terms
scope 1 and scope 2 emissions technical
"Absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions;"
Scope 1 emissions are the greenhouse gases a company produces directly from sources it owns or controls, like fuel burned in company vehicles or on-site boilers. Scope 2 emissions are the indirect greenhouse gases tied to the electricity, heat or steam a company buys from others — imagine pollution created at the power plant that supplies a factory. Investors use these measures to understand a company's operational carbon footprint, potential regulatory and cost exposure, and how resource-intensive its business is compared with peers.
emissions intensity by revenue technical
"Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions intensity by revenue"
Emissions intensity by revenue is a carbon accounting metric that measures a company’s greenhouse gas emissions divided by its revenue for the same reporting period, typically expressed as tonnes of CO2-equivalent (tCO2e) per unit of revenue (e.g., per million dollars). The numerator states which emissions are included (commonly Scope 1 and Scope 2, sometimes including selected Scope 3 categories), the denominator is usually gross revenue and must specify currency and period; choices about scope boundaries, accounting methods, and one-time revenue or emissions items can materially change the ratio. It therefore shows emissions generated per dollar of sales but should be interpreted with awareness of what emissions and revenue are included, exchange-rate effects, and differences in industry mix or business model that affect comparability.
kg CO₂e technical
"approximately 94,885 kg CO₂e for the period from April 2025"
kg CO2e means kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent, a unit that expresses the global warming impact of a release of greenhouse gases as the mass of CO2 that would have the same warming effect. Different gases (for example CO2, methane, nitrous oxide, fluorinated gases) are multiplied by their Global Warming Potential (GWP) to convert them into CO2-equivalent kilograms; the numerical result depends on which GWP values and time horizon (commonly 100 years) are used, so comparisons should note the GWP source and year. It measures the mass of emitted gases weighted by climate impact, not concentration in the atmosphere or economic cost.
decarbonisation technical
"the decarbonisation arm of the UN Global Compact Network Singapore"
Decarbonisation is the process of cutting the amount of carbon dioxide and similar greenhouse gases a company or economy produces, by switching to cleaner energy, improving efficiency, or capturing emissions. For investors it matters because it changes costs, regulatory exposure and future demand—like renovating a house to avoid fines and attract buyers, companies that decarbonise can reduce risk and access new markets while those that don’t may face higher costs or stranded assets.

SINGAPORE, Oct. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Primech Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: PMEC) (“Primech” or the “Company”), a leading technology-driven facility services provider serving public and private sectors across Singapore, today announced that its subsidiary, Primech A & P Pte. Ltd. (“Primech A & P”), has attained the 2026 LowCarbonSG Gold Leader recognition, the highest of the programme’s three recognition tiers, following an approximately 17.5% year-on-year reduction in combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions.

LowCarbonSG is a capability-building programme led by the decarbonisation arm of the UN Global Compact Network Singapore (“UNGCNS”), with support from the National Environment Agency (“NEA”) and Enterprise Singapore. The programme supports Singapore companies in measuring, tracking and recording their carbon footprint as part of their decarbonisation efforts.

Achieving 2026 LowCarbonSG Gold Leader Recognition

The 2026 LowCarbonSG Gold Leader recognition is awarded to participating companies that have made a second or subsequent carbon emissions submission and achieved a year-on-year reduction of at least 5% in both:

  • Absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions; and
  • Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions intensity by revenue.

Based on data submitted through the Carbon & Emissions Recording Tool (“CERT”), Primech A & P’s combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions decreased from approximately 115,006 kg CO₂e for the period from April 2024 to March 2025 to approximately 94,885 kg CO₂e for the period from April 2025 to March 2026. This represents a year-on-year reduction of approximately 17.5%.

Primech A & P also achieved the required year-on-year reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions intensity by revenue, meeting the criteria for the 2026 LowCarbonSG Gold Leader recognition.

Advancing Primech’s Sustainability Strategy

The recognition reflects Primech A & P’s continued efforts to integrate environmental responsibility into its operations while expanding its facility services business.

Primech is progressively adopting more sustainable operating practices, including the transition from diesel-powered operational vehicles to electric vehicles, the use of rooftop solar panels and efforts to improve energy and resource efficiency across its operations. The Group also continues to incorporate smart-cleaning technologies and robotics into its service delivery to support greater operational efficiency.

Primech A & P will continue measuring and monitoring its carbon footprint through the LowCarbonSG programme and identifying practical opportunities to reduce emissions across its business operations.
