RTX's Pratt & Whitney Canada delivers first PW127XT-S development engines for Deutsche Aircraft's D328eco® regional turboprop test aircraft
Pratt & Whitney Canada (RTX: RTX) delivered the first PW127XT-S development engines to Deutsche Aircraft in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany for the D328eco TAC1 test aircraft on the path to entry into service in 2027. The D328eco with PW127XT-S aims for up to 14% lower fuel consumption per seat versus the original Dornier 328 and 25% more passenger capacity. The PW127XT-S is the newest variant of the PW100 family, which has accumulated over 208 million flying hours, with PW127XT series contributing more than 400,000 hours. Companies continue collaboration on 100% SAF compatibility and drop-in SAF options.
