Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Oct. 19, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- RxSight, Inc. (NASDAQ: RXST) today announced the appointments of Taryn Conway as Chief Commercial Officer and Frank Shields as Executive Vice President of Sales and Commercial Strategy. The appointments strengthen RxSight’s commercial leadership team and support the company’s efforts to enhance commercial execution and accelerate adoption of RxSight’s Light Adjustable Lens™ (LAL™) technology.

“Over the past several months, we have prioritized investment to strengthen our commercial organization, and the appointments of Taryn and Frank are another important step in that process,” said Aziz Mottiwala, President and Chief Executive Officer of RxSight. “Their extensive experience in eye care and track record of driving the adoption of innovative technologies will be instrumental as we advance the next phase of our commercial strategy, with a greater emphasis on customer engagement and utilization.”

Taryn Conway, Chief Commercial Officer

Conway brings more than 20 years of experience building commercial organizations across eye care, pharmaceuticals and medical aesthetics. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Medical and Scientific Affairs at Bausch + Lomb, overseeing medical strategy across its pharmaceutical and consumer businesses. Prior to that, she was General Manager of Aesthetics at Revance Therapeutics, where she built and scaled a commercial organization from the ground up and led the commercialization of two major product lines. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership positions at Allergan, developing deep expertise in ophthalmology, physician engagement and market development.

Frank Shields, Executive Vice President of Sales and Commercial Strategy

Shields brings over 30 years of ophthalmology leadership experience, with a distinguished record of guiding commercial organizations, launching transformative technologies, and building lasting relationships with physicians, customers, and industry partners. Prior to joining RxSight, he served as a Head of U.S. Surgical Glaucoma at Bausch + Lomb following its acquisition of Elios Vision, where he was President. Earlier, he held sales leadership roles at Ivantis, Revision Optics and Bausch + Lomb, with experience across cataract, refractive and glaucoma technologies.

These appointments are part of RxSight's broader commercial transformation, which includes expanding and realigning its field organization to enable deeper customer engagement and increased support, so even more patients can benefit from RxSight’s LAL technology.
