Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

XCF Global (SAFX) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a renewable fuel production facility in Paramount, California, through a newly formed subsidiary. The company expects the acquisition to close before the end of 2026, subject to agreed closing conditions.

XCF plans to restart operations over the next 9–12 months, welcome the Paramount team after closing and more than double its size. The company expects to invest approximately $30 million during the restart period, primarily for workforce training and operational readiness. XCF intends to use its partnership with BGN to supply feedstock and purchase the facility's sustainable fuel output for aviation and transportation customers. The facility has existing renewable fuel infrastructure and is located near Los Angeles International Airport.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Key Terms

3 terms
feedstock technical
"capitalize on its strategic partnership with BGN to supply feedstock"
Feedstock is the raw material—such as crude oil, natural gas, agricultural crops, or recycled plastics—used as the primary input to make fuels, chemicals, plastics, or other industrial products; think of it as the ingredients you put into a factory recipe. For investors, feedstock matters because its price, supply stability and quality directly shape producers’ costs, profit margins and ability to meet demand, so shifts in feedstock markets can alter company earnings and valuations.
ebitda financial
"EBITDA is defined as net income (loss) before interest expense"
EBITDA stands for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. It measures a company's profitability by focusing on the money it makes from its core operations, ignoring expenses like taxes and accounting adjustments. Investors use EBITDA to compare how well different companies are performing financially, as it provides a clearer picture of operational success without the influence of financial structure or accounting choices.

non-gaap financial
"This press release contains non-GAAP financial measures"
Non-GAAP refers to financial measures that companies use to show their earnings or performance without including certain expenses or income that are often added back to give a different picture. It matters because it can make a company's results look better or more favorable, but it may also hide important costs, so investors need to look at both GAAP (official rules) and non-GAAP numbers to get a full understanding.

HOUSTON, TX / ACCESS Newswire / October 20, 2026 / XCF Global Inc. ("XCF") (Nasdaq:SAFX), a growing U.S.-based producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel ("SAF"), today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a renewable fuel production facility in Paramount, California through a newly formed subsidiary of XCF, New Rise Renewables Paramount, LLC.

Located less than 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles, the Paramount facility builds on the site's long history in fuel production and its transition to renewable fuels, bringing together established infrastructure, technical expertise and domestic agricultural waste to energy processing technology. The site is strategically located near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which is one of the world's busiest and most strategically important aviation hubs, serving more than 76 million passengers annually. Its immense scale, global connectivity, and strategic importance position LAX at the forefront of the aviation industry's transition toward sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). XCF intends to welcome the experienced team at Paramount following the closing of the acquisition, with plans to more than double the size of the team to restart operations over the next 9-12 months.

Paramount was the first U.S. refinery conversion from fossil fuels to renewable fuels and has a long and successful history of renewable fuel production. The facility has benefited from meaningful investment over its history, and XCF expects to invest ~$30 million during the restart period primarily in support of work-force training and operational readiness. XCF intends to capitalize on its strategic partnership with BGN to supply feedstock to New Rise Renewables Paramount as the operation relaunches and to offtake the sustainable fuels that the facility produces in support of the company's aviation and transportation customers.

"The Paramount acquisition represents an additional exciting opportunity to meaningfully expand XCF's vertically integrated alternative fuel platform through the acquisition of premier refinery infrastructure and operational leadership," said Chris Cooper, Chief Executive Officer of XCF Global. "We're very pleased to have the opportunity to take over the stewardship of this important renewable fuel production facility and bring on board the outstanding team of professionals dedicated to its success. We look forward to working with the Paramount team and the community to successfully relaunch operations as New Rise Renewables Paramount and safely, reliably and conscientiously produce transportation fuel that supports our mission to reduce carbon emissions, enhance domestic energy resilience and afford alternative uses for US agricultural waste-products."

The acquisition is expected to close before the end of 2026, subject to agreed closing conditions. XCF has been advised in the transaction by BTIG, Paul Hastings LLP, Marsh, Alvarez & Marsal and AECOM.

1 Gross product sales is an estimate by XCF management of the dollar value of the finished renewable fuel product sales in the end-customer markets. XCF believes that this is an important and relevant metric regarding the sales value of the company's products when comparing XCF to other companies. XCF management defines this as the number of gallons of renewable fuel sold by the Company during a period multiplied by the average observed or derived price in the end-customer market for each product during a period, including government incentives, feedstock, processing and logistics. EBITDA is defined as net income (loss) before interest expense, income tax expense (benefit), depreciation and amortization.

Non-GAAP Measures Definitions & Reconciliations

This press release contains non-GAAP (accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America) financial measures as defined by SEC Regulation G and indicated by a footnote in the text of this release. Definitions for the non-GAAP measures are provided below. Management believes these non-GAAP measures are a useful supplemental measure of operating performance because they eliminate the effects of financing and capital structure, tax jurisdictions, and non-cash depreciation and amortization expenses. However, these non-GAAP measures are not measures of financial performance under U.S. GAAP and should not be considered as an alternative to revenue or net income (loss) or any other measure of performance derived in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Because not all companies use identical definitions or calculations, our presentation of these measures may not be comparable to similarly titled measures of other companies. In reliance upon Item 10(e)(1)(i)(B) of Regulation S-K, reconciliations of forward-looking GAAP and non-GAAP measures are not provided because of the unreasonable effort associated with providing such reconciliations due to the variability in the occurrence and the amounts of certain components of GAAP and non-GAAP measures. For the same reasons, we are unable to address the significance of the unavailable information, which could be material to future results.
