4 terms
13f filings regulatory
"as of the latest 13F filings, to approximately 60%"
SEC Form 13F filings are quarterly public reports that institutional investment managers with at least $100 million in qualifying assets must submit, listing their U.S. equity holdings and certain related securities. They provide a snapshot of what large professional investors own, like a photographed portfolio, and matter to investors because they reveal trends, concentrations, and shifts in institutional ownership that can influence market liquidity and perceptions of a stock.
stablecoins technical
"the network supports stablecoins, tokenized assets, decentralized finance"
Stablecoins are a type of digital currency designed to maintain a steady value, often linked to traditional currencies like the dollar or euro. They function like digital cash that offers the convenience of online transactions while avoiding the large price swings common with other cryptocurrencies. This stability makes them useful for investors and users who want a reliable way to store and transfer value without exposure to sudden market changes.
tokenized assets technical
"the network supports stablecoins, tokenized assets, decentralized finance"
A tokenized asset is a digital representation of ownership or rights to a real-world or financial item—such as property, a bond, or a piece of art—recorded on a secure digital ledger. Think of it like turning an asset into many small, tradable tickets that can be bought, sold, or transferred more quickly and cheaply; for investors this can mean easier access, fractional ownership, greater liquidity, and faster settlement, but also introduces technology, legal and market risks.
decentralized finance technical
"the network supports stablecoins, tokenized assets, decentralized finance"
Decentralized finance, often called DeFi, is a way of using digital technology to offer financial services like lending, borrowing, and trading without relying on traditional banks or institutions. It operates on open networks where anyone can participate, much like a digital marketplace that runs on shared computer systems. For investors, DeFi provides more direct control over their assets and access to financial activities outside conventional systems.

Institutional ownership increases 12 percentage points QoQ, signaling continued endorsement of Sharplink’s treasury strategy

MIAMI, FL, Aug. 18, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sharplink, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBET) (“Sharplink” or the “Company”), one of the world’s largest corporate holders of Ether (“ETH”) and a prominent industry advocate of Ethereum adoption, today announced that institutional ownership of its common stock rose by approximately 12 percentage points as of the latest 13F filings, to approximately 60%. Sharplink now has the highest institutional ownership rate of any ETH-focused digital asset treasury company.

“We believe the continued growth in institutional ownership of Sharplink reflects increasing recognition among sophisticated investors of both the long-term Ethereum opportunity and the differentiated platform we have built,” said Joseph Chalom, Chief Executive Officer of Sharplink. “Institutional investors demand disciplined capital allocation, robust risk management and institutional-grade operational execution. Those principles are foundational to how we manage Sharplink.”

Among the Company's largest reported institutional holders as of June 30, 2026 were Fidelity, BlackRock, Highbridge Capital Management, Renaissance Technologies, Geode Capital Management and UBS Asset Management. The latest available Form 13F filings also reflect more than 50 institutional holders that initiated new positions in the Company relative to March 31, 2026, together with existing holders that meaningfully increased their positions.

Chalom continued, stating, “Ethereum is increasingly becoming part of the institutional investment conversation as the network supports stablecoins, tokenized assets, decentralized finance, agentic finance and a growing range of onchain financial activity. We believe Sharplink is uniquely positioned at the intersection of that adoption and the public capital markets.”
