STOCKHOLM, March 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandvik has been awarded a major order for a fleet of underground mining equipment from the Peruvian mining company Compañia de Minas Buenaventura (Buenaventura). The order is valued at approximately SEK 320 million and was booked in the first quarter 2025.

The order includes loaders and drills, which will be used at three of Buenaventura's underground mines; El Brocal, Yumpag and Uchucchacua. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter 2025 and continue through the first quarter 2026. In addition to the equipment order, Sandvik will supply spare parts, components and maintenance service during the lifetime of the equipment.
