Sealed Air (SEE) launched CRYOVAC® brand ZeroPrep hand-dispensing pouches to streamline back-of-house condiment dispensing for food service operations.

The pre-filled, hermetically sealed pouches replace squeeze bottles and other rigid containers, aiming to cut preparation and cleanup time while reducing contamination risk from product transfers. Each handheld pouch has an easy-open seal and semi-rigid spout that dispenses with a squeeze and reseals to help prevent drips. ZeroPrep pouches are formed on the new CRYOVAC® ZeroPrep vertical form-fill-seal system, which uses two specialized films to create the patented pouch and can produce 8–16 fluid-ounce packs at up to 80 packs per minute. The system targets faster service, one-handed operation, streamlined storage, up to 97% product yield, and consistent condiment freshness and flavor.

New flexible pouch packaging solution helps food service operations cut condiment prep and cleanup time by replacing squeeze bottles

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- To simplify back-of-house condiment dispensing for restaurants, Sealed Air Corporation's CRYOVAC® brand food packaging introduces ZeroPrep hand-dispensing pouches. The pre-filled pouches help food service operations save time and effort in every shift by eliminating labor-intensive preparation and cleanup of squeeze bottles and other rigid containers.

CRYOVAC® brand ZeroPrep hand-dispensing pouches help food service operations save time and effort in every shift by eliminating labor-intensive preparation and cleanup of squeeze bottles and other rigid containers.

Each handheld ZeroPrep pouch features a unique easy-open seal and spout designed to dispense condiments and sauces with a squeeze. The spout reseals when not in use to prevent drips.

The pre-filled pouches are hermetically sealed until first opening and help reduce opportunities for contamination by eliminating the need to transfer condiments into bottles or other secondary containers.

"We listen closely to customers to develop solutions that address everyday challenges and create meaningful value," said Joe Lambert, Sealed Air's North America vice president of food. "ZeroPrep reflects this ongoing commitment by removing the tedious task of squeeze bottle prep and cleaning, helping restaurants improve efficiency and the employee experience while supporting food safety."

ZeroPrep further enhances food service operations by:

  • Making service faster and simpler with pre-filled, ready-to-use pouches that open without tools
  • Simplifying condiment and sauce delivery through one-handed operation and streamlined storage
  • Reducing food waste through product yield up to 97%
  • Ensuring condiment freshness and flavor consistency during every shift

The pouches are formed on the new CRYOVAC® brand ZeroPrep vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) system, which brings together two specialized CRYOVAC® films to form the patented pouch's user-friendly shape, easy-open seal, semi-rigid spout and hermetic seals. The machine produces package sizes from 8 to 16 fluid ounces at speeds of up to 80 packs per minute.

As part of Sealed Air's food and beverage packaging portfolio, CRYOVAC® brand ZeroPrep pouches help food service operators protect food quality and safety while improving efficiency and product yield in back of house. They build on the legacy of innovation and performance that CRYOVAC® brand food packaging and Liquibox® brand liquid systems bring to food service.

The new ZeroPrep pouches and VFFS system will be on display at Sealed Air booth S-2844 during PACK EXPO International 2026, taking place Oct. 18-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
