The Smartsheet Amazon Q chatbot, @AskMe, is trained on public help documents, training courses, and hundreds of all-employee Slack help channels. Employees can simply tag @AskMe in any Slack channel, ask a question, and Amazon Q will instantly give them an answer. The chatbot has saved Smartsheet employees significant time spent searching for answers to their questions so they can move faster to confidently support the company’s customers and drive innovation. Use of the @AskMe chatbot has been adopted at all levels of the company to help foster a self-serve mentality and allow employees to answer questions quickly so they can focus on the most impactful work. Executive leadership using the app noted increased visibility, curiosity, and engagement with projects, while having to ask employees for only a fraction of the information directly.
