NEW YORK, March 15, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Synaptogenix, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNPX), an emerging biopharmaceutical company developing regenerative therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders, announced today that Dr. Daniel Alkon, the Company's President and Chief Scientific Officer, will present recent clinical results today, Tuesday, March 15th, at the International Conference on Alzheimer's (AD) and Parkinson's Diseases (AD/PD 2022). The titled abstract, "Neurotrophic Restoration for Neurodegenerative Disease" summarizes therapeutic improvement by Bryostatin for advanced AD patients in placebo-controlled trials and its potential benefits for other neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's Disease.

Dr. Daniel Alkon, commented, "Synaptogenix's lead compound, Bryostatin-1, is currently in an ongoing National Institutes of Health sponsored six-month trial focused on Alzheimer's disease. Synaptogenix AD/PD 2022 presentation will go live on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022, at 8:00 AM CET (3:00 AM EDT) and will be accessible to AD/PD 2022 registered meeting attendees in-person and on its virtual platform.

About Synaptogenix, Inc.

Synaptogenix is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that has historically worked to develop novel therapies for neurodegenerative diseases. Synaptogenix has conducted clinical and preclinical studies of its lead therapeutic candidate, Bryostatin-1, in Alzheimer's disease. Preclinical studies have also demonstrated Bryostatin's regenerative mechanisms of action for the rare disease, Fragile X syndrome, and for other neurodegenerative disorders such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted Orphan Drug Designation to Synaptogenix for Bryostatin-1 as a treatment for Fragile X syndrome. Bryostatin-1 has already undergone testing in more than 1,500 people in cancer studies, thus creating a large safety data base that will further inform clinical trial designs.
