Safe Pro Awarded New AI Subcontract and Launches “SPAI Ground Truth” for Next-Gen Ground Intelligence

The initial software order adds a new U.S. government prime contractor customer.

Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Key Terms

uas, uxo, orthomosaics
3 terms
uas technical
"Embedded on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) (drones)"
UAS stands for Unmanned Aircraft System, the complete setup that lets a remotely piloted aircraft (commonly called a drone) fly safely — including the aircraft itself, the ground controller, communications links and supporting equipment. Investors watch UAS because rules, technology and demand for tasks like surveying, delivery or aerial inspection directly affect companies’ sales and regulatory costs; think of it as a vehicle plus its keys, radio and support crew that together determine whether it can operate profitably.
uxo technical
"unexploded ordnance (UXO) and ambush drones"
Unexploded ordnance (UXO) are explosive weapons—bombs, shells, grenades or mines—that did not detonate when deployed and remain dangerous in the ground. For investors, UXO represents a physical and financial risk: finding and removing it can halt development, add cleanup costs, create regulatory delays, and expose owners to liability, similar to discovering hidden structural damage on a property that requires specialized, costly repairs.
orthomosaics technical
"It produces 3D models, orthomosaics, digital surface models"
An orthomosaic is a single, large image created by stitching together many overlapping aerial photos and correcting them so distances and shapes match true ground measurements, like flattening and aligning a paper map. Investors care because it turns drone or satellite pictures into accurate, measurable maps for monitoring land, construction progress, crop health, or mining volumes—helping quantify asset changes, detect problems, and support data-driven decisions.

Ground Truth is a 5-layer suite built on Safe Pro’s AI models that processed 3.1+ million drone images with 58,526 confirmed threat detections and mapped 39,777+ acres in Ukraine

AVENTURA, Fla., Oct. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Safe Pro Group Inc. (Nasdaq: SPAI) (“Safe Pro” or the “Company”), a developer of artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled defense, security and situational-awareness solutions, today announced that it has been awarded a new U.S. Government subcontract and has launched SPAI Ground Truth (“GT”), an integrated software suite combining air and ground AI algorithms to provide next-generation situational awareness of the battlefield.

SPAI Ground Truth consists of five (5) AI solutions designed to address the evolving autonomous battlefield, fusing sensor data collected from multiple sources including air and ground drones (unmanned ground vehicles or UGVs) to share real-time threat information on small objects such as anti-personnel cluster munitions and ambush drones.

“The new autonomous battlefield requires more than a drone or a UGV; operators need a reliable picture of the swiftly changing ground layer in front of them where perched ambush drones and IEDs could be hiding,” said Dan Erdberg, chairman and chief executive officer of Safe Pro Group Inc. “SPAI Ground Truth is the result of over four years of operational usage and data collection including more than 3.1 million real-world drone images from Ukraine, designed to enable soldiers to true the ground with confidence.”

SPAI Ground Truth consists of:

ComponentDeploymentCapability
GT CloudAWS-hosted, scalable processingAI threat analysis and 2D/3D mapping
GT AirEmbedded on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) (drones)Real-time in-flight AI threat detection
GT RoadGround vehicles and UGVsReal-time AI detection of anti-vehicle mines while in motion
GT FieldLaptops and tabletsReal-time and post-flight AI detection in drone imagery and video
GT NODEPortable edge-compute serverFully offline post-flight AI detection and 2D/3D interactive threat mapping on the edge

The GT suite can identify more than 150 types of explosive threats and objects of interest, including landmines, cluster munitions, unexploded ordnance (UXO) and ambush drones. It produces 3D models, orthomosaics, digital surface models, and vegetation-height and terrain-slope layers with detected threats mapped onto them for maneuver operations. Outputs are designed to be shared over existing tactical networks including the ATAK/TAK ecosystem.

Additionally, Safe Pro was awarded an initial order from a new U.S. government prime contractor customer for its patented AI software in support of AI autonomy and threat detection capabilities. Additional terms of the contract were not provided.
